Introduction
We are seeking a Manager Project to join our GBP (Grinding, Bulk Pyro, and Stirred Mills Services division) team. This role is particularly focused on projects in the Spanish speaking countries in South America but will include projects in all countries in South America, as well as global projects by being integrated into a global pool of project managers. The professional will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from early stages such as Handover, Kick Off Meeting and creating allocations in SAP to budget control and recording of lessons learned.
In this position, you will report to the Manager of Project Management (SVS, GBP).
This position may involve up to 70% of travel.
Team you belong to
You will join a dedicated Project Management team focused on achieving the key goals of our business, including profitability (P&L), on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and fulfillment of scope and requirements. We are currently working on global projects for clients in the Mining segment.
We work closely with internal / external stakeholders, such as Market Area, Controlling, Supporting areas and Customer representatives.

The members in our team are based in South America. However, you will be required to maintain close contact with colleagues from NCA, EMEA, and APAC regions.
What you’ll do
Manage projects ranging from low to high complexity, ensuring that engineering-released packages are activated in SAP, including creating allocations in the PS module for the scope released by engineering.
Collaborate with global teams in supply chain, engineering, procurement, and logistics to ensure successful project execution.
Create and monitor all purchasing requisitions within SAP, ensuring accurate budget maintenance and project financial flow. Maintaining the project’s costs and revenues in SAP will be the sole responsibility of this professional.
Collect and document lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle for continuous improvement and process optimization.
Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders, reporting progress, risks, and corrective actions clearly and effectively in both Spanish and English. Basic knowledge of Portuguese is desirable.
Manage relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and quality project deliveries.
Implement risk mitigation plans and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
Defend the interests of the Business Area and safeguard the profitability of the projects.
Demonstrate a high capacity to identify requirements from the early stages of the project and ensure that final deliverables meet contractual requirements.
Who you are
Degree in Engineering. An MBA in Project Management will be considered an asset.
Fluent Spanish (preferably native) and fluent English, with proven ability to conduct meetings and prepare reports in both languages.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with solid experience in the mining sector in South America. Experience in international projects with interfaces outside South America will be highly valued.
Proficiency in SAP, especially in the MM (Materials Management), PS (Project Systems), and SD (Sales and Distribution) modules.
Proven ability to quantify and mobilize the necessary organizational resources for executing large-scale projects.
Proven experience in managing complex stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal areas such as engineering and procurement.
Experience managing projects in global companies and multicultural environments.
Knowledge of regulatory practices in the mining sector in South America.
Flexibility to work on projects outside of South America according to global demands.
Availability for international travel to visit clients, suppliers, and other organizational offices with which the professional will have constant interface.
Differentials: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
Strategic leadership and the ability to engage cross-functional teams at various hierarchical levels.
Excellent communication and emotional intelligence, with the ability to mediate conflicts and make decisions under pressure.
Ability to work independently, with a strong focus on results.
