GFM EMEA Fund Services Tax Compliance and Oversight Manager, Vice President, Hybrid (Poland)

Who we are looking for

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) is the fourth largest asset management firm globally. Global Funds Management is responsible for all treasury, fund administration, and reporting for our registered and unregistered funds globally.  This includes valuation, board liaison and reporting, financial and regulatory reporting, taxation, expense accruals, service provider oversight, new product implementations and change management. The strategic objective of the role is to ensure appropriate tax withholding, refunds are executed upon in a timely manner, reporting is undertaken where required, and is done so within the regulatory framework of the tax jurisdictions of operation and investment for SSGA EMEA products. We are looking for someone with custody and/or tax advisory background who can respond to the challenging questions and drive tax support for EMEA region. Successful candidates will demonstrate a continuous improvement and innovation mindset and be technologically savvy.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements. Currently, 2 days/week are required to work in the office.

What you will be responsible for

Drive fund tax oversight processes for SSGA EMEA investment products.Proactively monitor tax legislative, regulatory, and/or administrative changes and cooperate closely with relevant stakeholders to maintain robust compliance posture amidst a changing regulatory landscape.Be a go-to tax person for the internal stakeholders and support them to execute business unit strategy, product and geographic expansion.Provide tax support to the internal partners in evaluating the tax implications, risks, and requirements associated with both new and existing products.Drive relationships with key internal and external parties including consultants and tax advisors.Collaborate with custodian of the SSGA EMEA investment products to ensure appropriate tax efficiency is applied when investment is outside the domicile of the fund.Ability to self-reflect and critically review processes on an ongoing basis.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant field10+ years of fund or custody tax experience, excellent knowledge of multiple withholding tax and funds tax regimes across the EMEA region.Deadline oriented
