State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) is the fourth largest asset management firm globally. Global Funds Management is responsible for all treasury, fund administration, and reporting for our registered and unregistered funds globally.  This includes valuation, board liaison and reporting, financial and regulatory reporting, taxation, expense accruals, service provider oversight, new product implementations and change management. Successful candidates will demonstrate a continuous improvement and innovation mindset and be technologically savvy.

As part of the Global Funds Management team, this role will report into the Vice President and is primarily responsible for reviewing monthly N-PORT and annual N-CEN filings as provided by the Funds’ sub-administrator. These reviews will involve coordinating with internal SSGA constituents who have been deemed Subject Matter Experts (“SMEs”) pertaining to certain data elements, whereby, you will gather such information from the SMEs required to be included in the N-PORT and/or N-CEN filings.  Job responsibilities will also include assisting the team with reviews of financial statements, including Tailored Shareholder reports, assistance with management of audit engagements and other financial reporting activities including the oversight of the Funds’ service providers and vendors.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements. Currently, 2 days/week are required to work in the office.

As a Financial Reporting Analyst you will

Review and coordinate gathering of responses for monthly N-PORT filingsReview and coordinate gathering of responses for annual N-CEN filingsAssist team with reviews of quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statementsAssist team with reviews of Tailored Shareholder ReportsAssist team in the oversight of the funds’ service providersBe aware of accounting policiesAssist team in the documentation of guidelines, policies and procedures

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Equivalent to a B.S. degree in Business, Accounting, or related field. 3+ years’ of work experience preferably with an investment adviser, public accounting firm or a financial services organization. Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC and IRS standards as they apply to investment companies, partnerships and other fund structures.
