Job Description
Overview:
Associate identified for this role of Senior Manager position for performing Consulting practice lead in
respective vertical area and client engagements. She/He should be able to deliver/assure the best value
toward clients in both practice development and billable engagements in following circumstances.
(1) In communication with client’s senior/middle management teams
(2) In orchestration within Cognizant teams (not only in Japan, but in global)
(3) In leading contents and its quality
(4) In directing team members
Responsibilities
The Senior Manager will:
• Understand the business objective
• Communicate with client’s senior and middle management teams
• Orchestrate Cognizant teams in both Japan and global
• Manage and deliver activities of both practice development and billable engagement with
assured quality
• Ensure high levels of performance of team members
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
• Detail oriented & hands on approach
• Adaptability to multi culture environment
• Comply with Japanese customer work rules
• Should possess strong analytical/review skills and very good communication skills
• Maintain and manage existing artifacts both in local and customer environment
• Should be a good team player and take ownership for responsible assigned tasks
• Good professional behavior and attitude
• Take ownership of tasks including any customer communication and handle queries /
clarifications from the customer
• Contribute to knowledge base
• Contribute new ideas and innovative approaches at work
Qualifications (Mandatory)
• 8+ years of experience in business and/or technology consulting, especially at Strategy
Consulting (MBB, Roland Berger, Kearney, ADL), Big 4 (Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG), Accenture,
CapGemini
• Multiple years of experience in practice development

• Multiple years of experiences in multicultural and multilingual environments
• Many collaborative experiences with stakeholders of both clients and own teams as applicable
in the resolution of any disputes or issues that may arise during the engagements
Qualifications (Preferred)
• Experiences in manufacturing industry will be a good to have
• Experiences in retail sales & wholesales industries will be a good to have
