GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides and promotes a variety of goods and services to customers and assists with department operations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greets/guides customers, responds to inquiries/orders, operates a cash register and other equipment, receives deliveries, establishes pricing, and complies with all safety and infection control guidelines. (35%)Assumes additional responsibilities that may include but are not limited to daily banking, ordering and inventory of supplies, interviewing, quality improvement, timekeeping, training, merchandising the inventory, prepare monthly and annual financial reports for Finance and AP and oversight of department operations in absence of supervisor. (30%)Prepares memos, invoices and weekly purchase orders to be mailed or faxed to other business professionals. (20%)Implements special projects at the request of the Auxiliary Gift Shop Committee. Regularly attends Auxiliary Gift Shop Committee meetings on behalf of the Gift Shop Manager. (10%)Prepares employee schedules. (5%)Performs other duties as assigned or required.QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.3-5 years’ retail experience.Preferred
