Gifted Imaging Clin Instructor
Summary The Gifted Imaging Clinical Instructor consistently provides excellent service to customers in Radiology that have a need for imaging applications assistance. Reports directly to the Imaging Director. Acts as the primary resource for all clinical imaging system educational needs. In collaboration with the MIRS director/program director, meets course objectives by providing clinical instruction and evaluations related to student progress. In collaboration with IUFW Clinical Coordinators, is responsible and accountable for the coordination, management, and planning of imaging student activities. Serves as a key member of the Clinical Imaging Team and a source of knowledge and assistance to assigned departments, students and staff members. Participates in accreditation processes, student assessments, and periodic review and/or revision of course materials. Maintains knowledge and expertise in the diagnostic imaging field through continuing education. Understands and enforces Imaging Student program policies and procedures. Provides operational support for systems used by assigned departments. Supports customers, co-workers and students by providing timely communication and service. Utilizes critical thinking when troubleshooting problems and developing solutions. Participates in Health Profession programs and committees at IUFW as requested.   Education Satisfactory completion of formal diagnostic imaging training.   Licensure/Certification Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Encourage advanced certification if applicable), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, or American Registry of MRI Technologists. Must have a valid Technologist State Board of Health license for the State where services will be provided. CPR certification required.   Experience Minimum of five years' clinical experience in diagnostic imaging.   Other Qualifications Strong knowledge of imaging positioning of the various anatomical structures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. shared lifting. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
