GIM Growing in Manufacturing Program - Process Engineer

For Prysmian GRON site, 1hour from Paris, the French center of excellence for high voltage cables, we are looking for a Process Engineer to be involved in a Development Program of 5 years aimed at train the future cable making know how owners in our key factories.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Development program based on job & factory rotation. During the whole duration of the program (5 years), the person will be involved in a learn on the job process in all the 5 main HV cable making processes (Metallurgy, Insulation CCV, Insulation VCV, Jacketing/WAS, Submarine Armouring or Factory Joints)

After the first 2 year of the program, the process engineer will have the chance to make an experience abroad in another Plant (Arco Felice, Pikkala, Gron, Montereau, Abbeville, Delft) through frequent long travels or an expatriation.

Learning on the job process through:

• First 3 months in each process/speciality

• Transversal trainings (Lean 6 Sigma (Year 1), R&D, Electrical testing, Quality)

• Mentorship: by the Process Manager or Process Expert of the plant

• Team events: once a year in one of the factories outside the program on topics broader than manufacturing (i.e. maintenance, vessels etc.)

At the end of the 5 years development program, the person is expected to come back in home Country and cover the role of Process Engineer with an increase of responsibilities/autonomy

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepares operation sheets.

Analyze existing production processes and support the development of recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products.

Collect manufacturing data, calculate and analyze manufacturing KPIs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Good knowledge of English and French

Technical-Industrial Short-Term degree or Technical School Diploma

No previous work experience is required

Motivation to develop himself/herself in the role for 5 years and grow professionally in the same role for the years after

Good attitude to work both in teams and individually
