Overview TRC is looking for an experienced GIS Analyst - Water to join its delivery team and support the development and execution of industry leading solutions for some of North America’s largest utilities customers. In this role you will work directly with our customers, our technical teams, and industry partners to position for, respond to and deliver solutions. Responsibilities Collects, edits, and manages geographic data using GIS software. Follows documented data management approaches specific to a project. Develops data products as directed by task leads for assigned projects. Conducts spatial data editing, analysis, and interpretation. Performs data validation and ensures data accuracy and completeness. Demonstrates TRC company values on assigned projects. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years related experience in the GIS industry. Experience with Esri Software: Demonstrated experience with Esri's ArcGIS suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and configuring other Esri Enterprise applications. Water Utilities Knowledge: Understanding of water utility operations, including data schema, systems components, and familiarity with Esri geometric network or utility network data models and industry standards. Spatial Data Management: Skills in managing, editing, and analyzing spatial data, including data quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes. Data Analysis and Visualization: Strong analytical skills to interpret and visualize spatial data, and experience with creating maps, reports, and dashboards to support decision-making. Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages such as Python, and automation tools such as SAFE FME, for automating GIS tasks and workflows, and familiarity with Esri ModelBuilder for creating geoprocessing models. Problem Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS data and software, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders, and the ability to present complex GIS concepts to non-technical audiences. Project Contributions: Experience in participating in GIS projects with multiple stakeholders and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data management and analysis. Software Development Knowledge (Optional but beneficial): Familiarity with software development practices, including version control (e.g., Git), and a basic understanding of Esri Application Configuration and APIs. Strong industry perspective in water utilities. Ability to interpret business and technical requirements and formulate questions to project leadership as needed. Exhibits expertise in GIS technical processes for producing high-quality GIS work products. Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills with the ability to proactively engage customers and guide them through clear, concise communication techniques. Maintains responsible, consistent, and reliable behavior to meet deadlines and complete assignments. Ability to travel up to 50%. A successful candidate for this position will contribute to the implementation of a successful project and understands how their work impacts the client’s people, processes, and technology to ensure projects have a positive impact and widespread adoption. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
