Job Summary:

Are you passionate about geospatial technology and eager to make an impact? We are looking for a talented GIS Developer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in geospatial concepts and web-based mapping technologies to create innovative GIS applications using Esri technology. You'll communicate complex technical information in a way that's easy to understand and collaborate closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet client requirements. Our team offers a full suite of services for each of the Data Solutions disciplines and can customize a solution to fit the specific needs of each client. This diverse and highly analytical team is adept at managing and manipulating data to help clients make informed business decisions and ensure regulatory compliance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

You'll utilize your debugging skills to ensure our software runs smoothly and engage in all stages of the systems development life cycle, from analysis and design to implementation and evaluation. Show initiative in solving problems and proposing effective solutions, set up development environments independently, and mentor junior developers. You'll juggle multiple projects simultaneously, revise software code for efficiency and bug detection, create simple unit tests, and document development and operational procedures meticulously.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in GIS or a related field from an accredited college or university (GIS coursework is a plus) 3+ years of experience in full life cycle software development. Proficiency in Python, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIs online, MS suite/ power apps, Power BI and Model builder

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methods and Git-based source code management is important. Enjoy working closely with creative peers in a fun, collaborative environment, and be highly organized, able to multitask, and oversee several projects simultaneously. Perform quality control measures to ensure client standards are met, and be proficient in specialized GIS software, including Esri. Knowledge of application and database integration techniques, proficiency in MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL in an AWS cloud environment, and Python are required. Effectively manage time, set priorities, and adapt to heavy workloads or tight schedules. Write concise technical emails, reports, design documentation, and product release notes.

The base salary for this position ranges from $35 to $39. The specific amount within this range will be influenced by the work location and various factors, such as internal equity, professional skills, work experience, and pertinent education or training.​ Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.​ May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
