Overview TRC is looking for an experienced GIS Solution Engineer – Esri Platform to join its delivery team and support the development and execution of industry leading solutions for some of North America’s largest utilities customers. In this role you will work directly with our customers, our technical teams, and industry partners to position for, respond to and deliver solutions. This role may require travel up to 50%, otherwise it can be done from most locations across the US. Responsibilities Engages stakeholders and clients to deliver strategic guidance on GIS technology. Serves as a mentor to junior staff on projects and/or within technical or industry areas. Plans, documents, manages, and coordinates delivery of tasks for complex projects. Provides expertise in GIS software and technology to stakeholders and clients. Collaborates with internal project leads and/or project managers on project requirements and interdependencies. Ensures data quality and accuracy for task deliverables. Reinforces recognition of TRC company values for team members on assigned project. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications 8+ years related experience in the GIS industry. Proficiency with Esri Software: Extensive experience with Esri's ArcGIS suite, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and other Esri applications such as Experience Builder. Utilities Domain Knowledge: Understanding of utilities data and business processes, including electric, gas, water, and telecommunications, and familiarity with industry-specific data models and standards such as the Esri Utility Network. Attribute Rules: In-depth knowledge and experience with creating and managing Attribute Rules in ArcGIS Pro. Team Leadership: Experience in leading a team of Esri platform developers and configuration analysts, including task delegation, performance management, and team development. Project Leadership: Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring of GIS platform tasks, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines. Integration and Interoperability: Experience with integrating Esri GIS solutions with other enterprise systems using APIs, web services, and middleware. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automating GIS workflows and processes. Proficiency with SAFE Software FME for data integration, transformation, and automation. Data Management: Skills in managing and manipulating spatial data, including data conversion, data quality assurance, and database management. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS platform development and configuration, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients, and to present complex GIS concepts to non-technical audiences. Documentation Skills: Proficiency in documenting technical specifications, workflows, and processes, and in maintaining comprehensive project records. Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement of GIS platform development and configuration processes and staying updated with the latest Esri tools and technologies Strong industry perspective in electric transmission and distribution, water, or gas. Ability to translate business requirements into proposed technical solutions. Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills with the ability to proactively engage customers and guide them through clear, concise communication techniques. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Ability to travel up to 50%. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
