Job Description:

The role works with Royal Canin Korea Finance team based in Seoul.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our finance team. This is a senior accountant role responsible for managing periodic and annual closing operations, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of both statutory and managerial financial reports. The GL Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, overseeing accounting and reporting processes.

As a trusted business partner, you will provide accounting guidance to the team and across functions, ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulations, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What are we looking for?University degree in Accounting or Finance+7 years’ experience working in finance/accountingStrong understanding in Accounting is a must English proficiencyExperience and proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office are essential.

What will be your key responsibilities?Oversee monthly and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and review general journal entries; validate AP, AR, and GL transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies and local statutory requirements.Upload and reconcile financial data in the corporate reporting system; ensure data integrity for global consolidation.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely recognition of revenue and expenses in line with company policies.Lead coordination of external audits, including interim and year-end audits.Liaise with internal teams and external agencies for tax filings and compliance (e.g., withholding tax, corporate income tax, regulatory submissions).Support internal governance and control to ensure ongoing compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.Provide guidance and support team members, promoting knowledge sharing, operational efficiency, and continuous development.Drive process improvements and support automation and digitalization initiatives within the finance function.Participate in and lead finance-related ad hoc projects as needed.
