Responsibilities

Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including posting journal entries, reconciliations, and reviewing trial balances.Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.Oversee daily general accounting tasks, including fixed asset management, intercompany transactions, and accruals.Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, corporate policies, and international financial reporting standards (IFRS/MFRS).Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.Analyze and provide insights into financial data to aid management in decision-making.Drive process improvements in the GL function to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in manufacturing or a similar industry.Strong understanding of local accounting standards and international financial reporting standards (IFRS/MFRS).Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
