JOB SUMMARY:
Provide leadership for finance team by maintaining, developing and enhancing existing accounting systems, implementing process improvements and supporting new project developments with an emphasis on Oracle Hyperion products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Design complex Hyperion Reporting Studio reports for multi-currency, multi-dimensional accounting and reporting which includes assisting and training other financial personnel and enhancing existing reports along with making metadata suggestions to optimize financial reporting and prepare for acquisitions.
Work with accounting management and external consultants to develop and maintain complex accounting consolidation business rules utilizing Oracle Hyperion Financial Management Calculation Manager to optimize consolidation time and database size.
Participate on the Hyperion Planning implementation team utilizing Essbase Studio to build out finance applications for an efficient budgeting and forecasting process. This includes working with financial team members who support a variety of functional areas within the company to assist with gathering requirements, providing potential solutions, working with management to recommend priorities and maintaining consistent communication to keep the appropriate parties involved.
Create and maintain data synchronization tables as needed. This includes maintaining file and interface table definitions and mapping to support data flow between HFM to Planning, Planning to HFM, and between Hyperion Planning applications.
Maintain and enhance Hyperion security utilizing shared services.
Assist with the accounting user migration process to support parallel testing and promotion through our development, stage and production environments.
Assist with the implementation of Financial Disclosure Management to support XBRL tagging and SEC reporting as needed.
Provide insight to process efficiencies using INFOR XA financial products (IFM, IM, COM, Powerlink, etc.). Develop and recommend effective Mapics rules and priorities to optimize general ledger mappings.
Function as the focal point for Dynamics AX to assist US finance personnel in gathering global data to resolve worldwide initiatives.
Act as the liaison between IS and Finance to maintain progression on our financial IS initiatives.
Compile monthly analysis and reporting for Fixed Assets, including reconciliation of US and subsidiary monthly roll-forwards. Also manage the data flow of fixed assets into Hyperion to support cash flow reporting.
Prepare audit schedules as required and work with internal and external audit teams to resolve inquiries.
Maintain and document processes and procedures to comply with Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 requirements and drive continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
PC spreadsheet experience required. AS400, Query, MAPICS, and Hyperion experience a plus.
Strong analytical and communication skills, detail orientated.
4-8+ years experience in finance/accounting with an emphasis in accounting system management preferred.
Experience working with acquisition integration and/or multi-currency foreign subsidiaries a plus.
Ability to train others and work well in a fast-paced, team environment.
