Glassline Operator 1st shift
We are looking for a Glassline Operator in our location.

Here are some details about this position:

Position Summary

Unloader’s primary purpose is to perform production work such as pulling hooks from sheets, running the spinner, driving and unloading sheets from the glass line. Success in this position is measured by maintaining efficiency goals to satisfy client needs and demands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety oriented Must be able to be on your feet for 10 hours/day Unloading sheets – push/pull up to 250lbs sheets. Raise arms above head to pull hooks from sheet.

Requires 10lbs of force

Operate spinner – holds sheet and rotate when in air using 25 lbs. maximum force. Driving – continuous use of hands. Hooks sheets to unloader with suction cups. Removes hooks and rotates sheet to place on skid. Up to 100 lbs. of pressure. Cut paper top place on sheet puts sheet on paper and repeats process. EN testing – clips electrode to sheet. Uses wire brush to brush sheet. Ability to operate forklift Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/GED 1-2+ years’ experience in a heavy manufacturing environment Ability to communicate with others both written and verbally

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate, read and write in English

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Intermediate Shop Math

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to read and understand moderately complex information and communicate such information both verbally and written. Ability to make logical and reasonable decisions based on given information. Ability to perform tests with accuracy.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to do basic data entry

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
