The Opportunity: 

 

The Global Account Management team enables the digital transformation of our most prestigious and global customers and provides solutions across the entire range of enterprise information management capabilities.  As Global Account Director you will help customers use information to grow faster and be more efficient in an increasingly Digital World.  

 

You partner with C-level leaders at some of the largest companies in the world and coordinate the account GTM with the OpenText teams cross BU’s and geographies. Your role combines three domains of excellence: Sales, Business Consultative capacity and Leadership. 

 

Sales: Your KPIs are defined by your ability to generate substantial incremental growth on a set of accounts (3 Global Strategic accounts) in the energy industry (Shell, BP and National Grid). You will shape and execute large complex solutions deals. Customer obsessed, you will stop at nothing to help your customer find the right solution to positively impact their business, improve their most important processes, or reduce their risks.  Your track record of successful attainment of your targets will be rewarded with one of the most competitive compensation packages in the industry. 

 

Business Consultant: You are a strategic thinker who understands that customers are experiencing unprecedented change. You are already a trusted advisor to your customer, partnering with C-level executives in IT and business lines to define strategy that will impact both the digital transformation journey of your accounts and the value for OpenText. You are used to working with Global Account Plans and customer-specific Point of Views to drive and share your strategy. 

 

Leadership: You are a leader. You will coordinate virtual teams across the globe to implement the strategy that you would have initially defined. Inspiring person, you demonstrate your ability to create trust and confidence and get people adoption. Structured, you will influence a global virtual account team composed with AE’s, Solution Consultants, Business Value Consultants et.al currently working on the account.   

 

 

You Are Great At:  

Achieving revenue on a quarterly bases with predictability 

Strategic thinking and plan definition 

Added-Value Executive discussions (IT and business) 

Coordination with multiple stakeholders in complex organization 

Masterful in execution, coordinating an extended virtual team 

Inspiring confidence  

Masterful in plan execution directly by yourself or by influencing AE’s 

What It Takes: 

Customer obsessed with a growth mindset 

Result driven 

Must have working knowledge of selling complex solutions into the energy market 

Strategic thinker with consultative capacity 

High communication skills 

Experience of commercial and contractual negotiations with a complex set of customers with international reach 

Expert knowledge in solution value selling 

C-level exposure (with high value for IT and business lines) and an existing senior mgmt. level network at least one of the target customers 

Experience of driving, shaping and executing large global deals 

A track record of at least 10 years of B2B selling to large global customers 

Intellectual curiosity, you can easily grasp new products and solutions, and bring the spirit of innovation to your customers 

Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends 

Location is ideally for this position you live near your global customer’s head office to enable frequent customer meetings
