Global Account Manager (Remote)

As a Global Account Manager, you will be managing global and local relationships with Amex GBT Egencia’s customers across the world, with a real focus on increasing the profitability and trading value of your portfolio, as well as working with internal teams across Europe to coordinate systems implementations. **What You’ll Do:** + Manage a small, but highly strategic and high value, portfolio of accounts with Pan-European / Global customers + Regular client reporting, using this as a platform to increase spend across various methods including new technologies, budget analysis and negotiation with travel providers + Continuous client negotiation in regard to criteria such as retention, bookings, trading value and revenue + Build a strong rapport as a trusted advisor, developing long term relationships throughout the customer lifecycle + Act as the client’s lead Global Account Manager: in this capacity, the global account manager will collaborate with local AMs in each POS to aggregate and deliver data from all POS to client, while cascading instructions to secondary markets to execute and managing local operational issues + Lead projects as required with the ability to guide cross-functional teams to achieve established goals and deliverables + Identify and support global process and offerings in other markets to drive travel program standardization and manage client’s expectations of service + Deliver regular Business Reviews to clients while also collecting and aggregating data from other POS when necessary. Provide analysis and deliver recommendations to drive a strong program adoption and deliver savings whilst delivering against the customer’s measures of success + Interact and build a strong, positive rapport with the Account Management team(s) globally, also developing long term relationships throughout the customer lifecycle + Lead projects and initiatives as required, with ability to guide cross-functional teams to achieve established goals and deliverables as needed + Represent Amex GBT Egencia in a professional manner; maintain composure in times of stress; ensure the highest levels of service and professionalism **What We’re Looking For:** + Applicants must come from commercial Global account management experience, **ideally from within a travel management company / agency environment** or similar and will ideally have managed accounts above $5M in value across multiple markets and geographies + Experience building client relationships in a commercial B2B account / portfolio management environment, managing a portfolio of global clients operating across regions + Strong working knowledge of the Americas including Latin America, EMEA & APAC regions, culture, and business protocol + Ability to build relationships through mutual trust, respect and understanding, and to manage relationships across multiple groups with remarkably diverse backgrounds + Self-motivated with demonstrated strengths managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment, and driving completion with limited direction + Exceptional negotiating and facilitation skills + The ability to recognize and respond appropriately to different situations through the use of advanced communication strategies + Proven history of obtaining/surpassing targets on a consistent basis + Ability to work effectively in matrix environment and deliver results + Tech-savvy with ability to communicate technical product features effectively and enthusiastically + Effectively work independently in a virtual environment + Ability to travel domestic and international for internal and external meetings as needed **_Considering candidates virtually across the US - preferred Central or Eastern timezone. Travel will be required._** **Location** Chicago, Illinois, United States The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $50,000 to $100,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that Egencia expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual Performance Based Incentive, which rewards participants based on company performance, one of our metric-driven Sales Incentive Plans (certain direct sales roles only), or one of our Client Management Incentive Award (CMIA) programs.
