What You'll Do

​​Assist with review of monthly reporting packages (management reporting and US GAAP reporting) from the affiliate offices to ensure compliance with BCG’s accounting policies and US GAAP; analyze actual results compared to forecasts and prior year results ​Assist with obtaining and gathering information required for the quarterly US GAAP global fluctuation analysis ​Assist with accounting for the corporate entities based in the US, Luxembourg and Ireland ​Assist with month-end, quarterly and annual accounting and reporting processes for marketable securities, foreign currency translation adjustments, pension and other post-retirement benefit obligations, global eliminations and corporate entities ​Perform review of standard account reconciliations received from affiliate offices ​Assist with the preparation of BCG’s annual consolidated financial statements and the preparation of the financial statements for all corporate entities in accordance with the applicable accounting standards  ​Assist with the preparation of BCG’s external disclosure requests ​Assist with lease project testing in preparation of BCG’s adoption of the new FASB lease accounting standard (ASC842) for January 2022 ​Prepare Oracle and HFM journal entries ​Assist with various ad-hoc reporting from Oracle, SAP Business Objects and HFM ​Participate in finance transformation projects​ 

What You'll Bring

Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in Northeastern University and approved by the university to participate in the 2025 co-op cycle ​​Actively pursuing a BS/BA in Business (Finance and Accounting).  ​Organized, detail-oriented and analytical, strong interpersonal and communication skills.  ​High level of initiative and resourcefulness. Strong MS Excel and Power point skills, proficient in other MS Office applications.   ​Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. ​Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks. ​Prior work, internship or co-op experience in a progressive corporate environment a plus ​Must have legal work authorization in the U.S.​ 

Who You'll Work With

​You will be a member of the Global Accounting and Control (\"GAC\") team working under the direction of the Global Finance Director & Corporate Controller. The GAC team has various responsibilities that include the consolidation and reporting of BCG's global financial information on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, global revenue reporting and analysis, corporate accounting and Managing Director and Partner accounting. In addition, GAC is responsible for establishing global accounting policies, procedures and internal controls. The team provides decision support to local offices around the world and serves as a knowledge center across a broad range of accounting, financial systems and internal control topics.

​In this role, you will work in the Global Investments, Consolidation and Reporting (GICAR) team.

​The team works collaboratively to prepare and analyze critical financial reports, most importantly, the monthly financial metrics (management reporting) and the consolidated US GAAP financial statements. The team is responsible for the accounting and reporting for corporate entities as well as account balances maintained at a corporate level including marketable securities investments, foreign currency, leases and pensions  Strong technical knowledge and the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner are critical, as there is significant interaction with a large, international finance organization including members of other groups within the global finance function, and local finance teams in affiliate offices. In this position, you will have significant interaction with other functions in Global Services including Treasury, Tax, Global Field Operations and Finance Systems.
