The position sits within CHUBB’s Global IT Operations team, providing Microsoft Active Directory for CHUBB. The Senior Active Directory Ops Engineer would require a minimum 8 to 10 years of directly related experience supporting Active Directory operations and/or engineering. This person in this role will serve as the subject matter expert for AD Ops, providing hands-on technical and operational leadership in support of CHUBB’s global Active Directory.

Responsibilities:

Investigation and diagnosis of incidents and problems relating to Active Directory. Create and maintain GPOs, OUs, DFS, LDAP, Security Policies and directory replication. Gather statistics and metrics to report on capacity, health and performance of AD and its components. Implement common preventive maintenance practices for hardware and software. Ensure that system improvements and changes are implemented and monitor effects of the modifications. Patch and configuration management and compliance of Domain Controllers. Operational lifecycle management support of Active Directory and associated toolsets Help Identify and manage risks within the Active Directory platform. Participate in operations with the documentation, understanding and tools to effectively manage the final platform. Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery plans. Participate in change and incident management.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information Technology/Systems, Software Engineering, Business, Information Management, Information Security or other related disciplines required. 8+ years, hands-on Active Directory Operation and Troubleshooting Extensive and recent experience of Active Directory in a large enterprise. In-depth knowledge of GPOs, OUs, DFS, LDAP, Security Policies and directory replication Strong critical thinking and problem-solving, and the ability to debug complex-cross systems problems, and document root cause including remediation and detection Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of technology towers i.e.: Storage, Virtualization, Intel, Networking, Data Center Migration and Disaster Recovery Knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met Fundamental understanding of network security practices Experience of operational security monitoring, metrics and reporting Hands-on experience with PowerShell or Python and APIs Experience with Azure Active Directory. Self-driven with the ability to manage workload without direct supervision. Ability to collaborate with different technology towers to achieve common goals. Ability to manage multiple stands of work simultaneously. Executes within a customer-centric environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
