Global AI Data Strategist, AWS
As the regional lead for the Global Data Strategy for AI team within Amazon Web Services, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s cloud computing platform for Data, Analytics, AIML, and Generative AI. Your responsibilities will include helping to define key customers and industries to target, driving the necessary business and technical relationships with customers and partners to establish new business in those accounts and industries, and enabling the sales team drive the day-to-day interactions with prospects in order to build long-term business opportunity. You’ll also work closely with the product/service teams to help them evolve the products/services and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field.

The ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers, architects, and DBAs. She/he should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the Global Data Strategy for AI team focused on helping to drive overall AWS database, analytics, and AIML/Generative strategy for customer data transformations.
- Help define the AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals we target.
- Align with regional account teams and professional services to develop large lighthouse customers utilizing broad services of the AWS Database, Analytics, and AIML/Generative AI platform to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Lead customer workshop engagements and briefings, present at customer events, and further AWS Data Strategy thought leadership and brand.
- Alignment with service teams to ensure voice-of-customer visibility into user priorities.
- Spend considerable time face to face with customer C-suite, LOB, and IT decision makers to influence AWS wins and accelerate customer business outcomes and how to leverage data as a competitive advantage.
- Engage with customers on the non-technical considerations that may impact their data platform decisions such as governance and organizational considerations.
- Build internal support and excitement with other internal teams to increase Data Strategy engagement.
- Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive messaging and differentiation of the AWS data and AIML/Generative AI solutions at AWS.

About the team
Within WWSO, this position is a part of the Go-To-Market (GTM) Specialist team, where you will lead GTM strategy for AWS’ GenAI service line for APJ. We create sales plays, leverage partners, and build new initiatives that drive results for our customers. We provide critical feedback from customers to inform our product roadmap, and work closely with our partner network to build an ecosystem supporting our customers’ goals. In emerging areas, we play a critical role as the “first in” teams to build markets for new services, domains, or solutions. When a customer needs to innovate and requires a new way to leverage AWS, they count on us to innovate with them to build and deliver what they need.
