The Volex trading group is responsible for market-making and trading of a variety of interest rate products, including swaptions and other exotics, on the major developed markets (JPY, AUD, EUR and USD). The team has a very broad range of responsibilities, such as risk managing the existing portfolio and structuring trades to custom-fit the needs of our clients. In particular, the flow trading team has a primary focus on the market making and risk management of flow/vanilla volatility products in JPY and AUD. The main customer base includes but is not limited to banks, insurance companies, money managers, hedge funds, and corporate clients.

Responsibilities:

Market making for Interest Rate Swaptions and other volex productsTrade idea generation, risk monitoring, and trade executionRisk management of existing portfolios and new tradesCoordinating with Strategists, Sales, Structuring, Federation, and other teams to refine strategies and drive business initiativesWork closely and collaboratively within a team to deliver results at the highest standards

Required Qualifications:

Relevant Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with an excellent academic recordKnowledge of risk management, trade execution, and derivative modelsAbility to thrive and perform in a challenging and high-pressure environmentsAttention to detailExcellent communications skills and a demonstrated ability to perform highly in a teamStrong problem-solving skills with a keen ability to think critically in evolving market conditionsStrong technical/analytical/quantitative skillsSolid work ethic and high level of motivation

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in VBA preferred but not requiredProficiency in Japanese will be a plus
