The Operations division partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation. Operations span all product lines and markets.

The primary responsibility of the Stock Lending team is to offer day to day support for Stock Lending Desk in Asia. 

The team acts in partnership with a wide variety of groups across the firm globally with daily interaction with the wider Operations teams, Technology, Legal and Compliance. Stock Lending Operations are heavily involved in new business initiatives and process improvement to streamline our support model. 

DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS 

Securities Settlements Operations has the benefit of being located in the nucleus of an investment bank so the exposure and interaction that the successful candidate will gain will be vast.  The successful hire will interface with global team across divisions. The successful candidate will be expected to act as a change agent, by improving processes and procedures and contribute meaningfully to the overall strategy of the organisation.

In depth on the job training will be provided, backed up with on-going support and over sight as the candidate will be responsible for an important function within the team. The role is ideal for a candidate who wants experience of a variety of Securities Settlements functions. 

RESPONSBILITIES:

To manage the life cycle processes of a stock loan borrow or loan. This encompasses pre-matching, settlement, recalls and collateralization.Interact with Traders, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Engineering teams to ensure that commercial opportunities can be facilitated under controlled conditions. Focus on client excellence both with internal and external counterparts.Compile and analyze metrics to assess process efficiency, to identify and drive improvement. Work independently, or with team members and management, on strategic projects and process improvement initiatives to reduce risk and/or improve client service delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalentA minimum of 3 years of prior work experience in a stock loan operations (or at least trade support or equities middle office)Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-throughStrong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlinesTeam player with positive attitude and strong work ethicStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businessesAbility to self-direct, analyze and form independent judgmentsAbility to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders
