Global Business Intelligence Analyst
Job Description

Responsible for sourcing, translating, and incorporating external, internal, and other market data to update Prism SAM/TAM model as a one source of truth to inform business decisions. Position will play a key role in developing models to estimate the SAM / TAM by segment, customer type, technology and geography for new and existing opportunities as well as incorporating other internal sales and other data to expand use cases to generate additional market insights.

Role Specific Duties:

Data Sourcing and Integration:

Source external, internal, and market data relevant to the business.

Translate and integrate the collected data into the Prism SAM/TAM model to maintain an accurate "one source of truth."

Model Development and Estimation:

Develop models to estimate the Serviceable Available Market (SAM) and Total Addressable Market (TAM).

Break down SAM/TAM estimates by segment, customer type, technology, and geography.

Continuously update and refine models to ensure accuracy in projecting business opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams, including sales and marketing, to gather additional internal sales and operational data.

Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment on the use of market data for decision-making.

Market Insights Generation:

Leverage the SAM/TAM model to generate valuable market insights and intelligence for business strategy.

Expand the use cases of the data model to uncover new market trends and opportunities.

Business Decision Support:

Provide data-driven insights to support key business decisions and strategy formulation.

Ensure that market models and insights are accessible and understandable for business leaders.

Continuous Improvement:

Monitor the effectiveness of the SAM/TAM models and suggest improvements based on feedback and evolving market conditions.

Identify opportunities to enhance the quality and scope of market data used for the models.

This role requires a blend of analytical skills, data integration expertise, and strategic thinking to ensure that the SAM/TAM models effectively inform business decisions.

Travel: < 10%

Location: Work remote from anywhere in North America. Location within driving distance of Santa Clara office is highly desirable.

Qualifications

10+ years relevant Life Sciences industry experience in similar role

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field of science

Advanced knowledge of excel, including macro programming and pivot tables

Experience with data analysis and visualizations tools such as Qlik, Tableaux, Microsoft Power BI, etc. is highly desirable

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills


 

Additional Details

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $157,120.00 - $294,600.00/yr USD in the US, or $144,320.00 - $225,500.00/yr CAD in Canada, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
