The Global Center of Excellence (COE) Lead for Manufacturing Operations will spearhead the development and implementation of strategy, processes, tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), operational reliability, yield, and cost-effective solutions across our global manufacturing sites. This individual will lead a small team of direct reports and networks of experts specializing in asset care, continuous improvement, manufacturing excellence, organizational effectiveness, and digital systems (manufacturing 4.0). The COE Lead will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across Chemours' manufacturing operations. This will be a newly established COE. We are looking for a leader with extensive manufacturing background that can lead by influence and set the strategies for what good looks like across the company. The role will collaborate with our Operations Vice Presidents and enterprise functional leaders in Capital, EHS, IT etc. This role will lead Chemours towards a best-in-class manufacturing organization. Chemours consists of three Business Units, Advanced Performance Materials & PC&I (10 manufacturing sites), Titanium Technologies (3 manufacturing sites and 4 mining operations/3 mineral processing plants) and Thermal Specialized Solutions (6 manufacturing sites and several Blending & packaging operations). **The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:** + Lead the Global Center of Excellence for Manufacturing Operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Is viewed as an expert in determining direction for the manufacturing organization. + Define, develop and influence other senior executives, without direct accountability, to execute strategies to enhance OEE, operational reliability, yield, and cost-effective solutions in alignment with Chemours' business objectives. + Collaborate and influence the Operations Leaders of all businesses and establish collaboration networks across all businesses to set best practices and to align COE initiatives with overall goals across Chemours and the businesses. + Design, implement, and refine processes, tools, and methodologies to standardize best practices across manufacturing sites and influences the businesses to implement them. + Implement a Manufacturing Operating System across all Chemours operating sites. + Drive the adoption of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other relevant frameworks to optimize manufacturing operations. + Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance. + Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of COE initiatives ensuring we can measure performance across all sites in the same way. + Build, manage, and mentor a team and networks of experts in asset care, manufacturing excellence, organizational effectiveness, and digital manufacturing systems. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and knowledge sharing. + Prepares information and presentations for the Board and may present to the Board. + Lead innovations in the digital transformation related to manufacturing and oversee the implementation and integration of digital manufacturing systems to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. **The following is required for this role:** + Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field or equivalent experience + Minimum of 15 years of experience in highly hazardous manufacturing operations, with a proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites. + Operations Leader experience, including accountability for managing a large organization. + Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies. + Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of experts. + Strong networker and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across various levels of the organization. + Willingness to travel as needed to support global operations. **The following is preferred for this role:** + Certified Continuous Improvement Professional (e.g. Master Blackbelt or lean certification) + Demonstrated success in leading sustainable asset care improvements. + Experience with digital manufacturing systems and data analytics. + Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field or equivalent experience _In our pursuit to be the greatest place to work, we know that a critical element to enhancing our employee experience is to assure we’re operating with a solid foundation of trust.
