The team
The Global Communication Support department is composed of 9 OPS engineers located in various countries across time zones. Together we deliver top quality support to one of the most critical departments in the bank: Financial Markets & Group Treasury (FM>). The scope is global and consists of 27 Front Office locations. Within the team, we embrace the agile way of working to improve efficiency and to ensure we provide the best service possible to our customers. You will analyse and troubleshoot incidents and work pro-actively to reduce recurrence. You will also be collaborating in several projects and work on IT risk activities. The supported applications are mainly vendor owned and managed, so the focus of the activities is on functional management and vendor management.
Roles and responsibilities
· Manage and maintain the global communication systems (IPC Unigy; IPC Media Recording; ICE Instant Messaging).
· 1st line (client facing) and 2nd line functional support.
· Troubleshooting end to end (desktop, application, hardware, networks, SBC’s, etc.).
· Vendor management.
· Ensure system security compliance with ING standards and policies (IT Risk).
· Windows server management.

As a Global Communication Support Engineer you will need:
Knowledge and experience:
● Experience in maintaining and running the operational side of application management, including client facing and 1st line support.
● Experience with the IPC Unigy system.
● Experience with Voice Recording systems.
● Knowledge of Windows OS fundamentals.
● Experience with managing vendors on operational level.
● Knowledge of ITIL support processes.
Compentencies:
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● You are customer-focused and communicative, and enjoy working as part of a team.
● Able to work unsupervised in a high pressurized environment.
● You work in a meticulous and structured way.
● Strong problem solving and analytical thinking - ability to diagnose and resolve ambiguous problems.
● Resilience to stress and constructive and collaborative mindset.
● Affinity with procedures and regulation, especially on risk management and not afraid to challenge controls.
● Willingness to continuously improve skills.
Nice to have:
● Basic knowledge of networks.
● Basic knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMBD).
● Basic knowledge of Session Border Controller (SBC’s).
● Knowledge of Risk Management.
● Experience with distributed teams is a plus.
