Global Compensation Senior Director

What You'll Do

This role will be responsible for driving our compensation technology transformation project, recently approved by the BCG Investment Committee. It will sit within the Global Compensation COE and act as the functional lead role within the technology transformation project. Responsibilities will include:

Overall Program Leadership: Serve as the primary functional leader of this large-scale compensation technology transformation project, driving design, execution and delivery of multiple workstreams. This functional lead role will work closely with a technical IT lead and a change management lead, who collectively will own the overall program and be responsible for successful delivery.Technical Design and Decision-Making: Oversee and make technical compensation design decisions to ensure the project aligns with business goals and delivers innovative, scalable compensation solutions. This is critical to establish the right foundation for the future and take compensation within BCG to the next level in terms of capabilities, processes and insights.Workstreams Management: Direct and coordinate multiple workstreams in parallel, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely progress across teams and stakeholders.
o Workstreams will span leveraging Workday for compensation processes, establishing a single source-of-truth for cash compensation, setting up payroll integrations, enhancing existing bonus tool, reviewing future bonus design, continuing benefits platform rollout, and building a new Reward Data Product to establish next level reward capabilities and ensure readiness to meet existing and future comp transparency legislation.Stakeholder Collaboration and Alignment: Act as a key program leader, engaging and influencing senior leaders and HR teams across BCG to achieve project objectives and drive adoption of change.Team Leadership: Manage project team resources, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to team members to optimize performance and ensure project goals are met, ensuring role clarity between new and existing team members.Risk Management and Problem Solving: Proactively identify risks, flag issues to project sponsors/SteerCo, and implement effective mitigation strategies to keep the project on track and deliver high-quality results. Enable required decision-making by seeking senior stakeholder input, being responsive whilst also being able to frame key considerations, providing recommendations and guiding project workstreams to effective outcomes.Change Management: Provide functional inputs and direction for change management efforts, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption of new comp processes and tools across the firm.Deliver Measurable Impact: Establish and monitor project metrics to evaluate progress, measure success, and ensure outcomes deliver business value.

The Senior Director in this role will be part of BCG's Global Compensation team, partnering day to day with BCG business and HR leadership teams across different countries and business units, working closely with IT and Change Management leads. In this role the Senior Director will need to be able to demonstrate the following behaviours:

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree required; Master/ MBA a plus.15+ years of corporate/consulting compensation experience with demonstrable leadership track record.Experience of managing large-scale, multi-workstream projects with a focus on structure, timelines, and outcomes.Strong expertise in different compensation models, structure and vehicles.Familiarity with HR information systems, best practices and leading market approaches.Team management experience, including managing project resources, balancing priorities, and aligning team efforts to achieve strategic goals.Experience working across multiple geographies.Familiarity with professional services companies and business models a plus.Proven ability to design creative solutions to ambiguous problems.Proven senior stakeholder management and leadership interaction skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with executive-level audiences.
