Global Contract Management Tools Director
Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. We are responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.   Within CO+I, the strategic Supply Chain team is responsible for establishing a supply chain that can meet the ever-growing growth of the Microsoft Cloud and our customers. We support a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-billion, multi-year datacenter construction and operations of those assets. We are looking to fill the critical role of Global Contract Management Tools Director. This individual will coordinate across various functional teams with a focus on driving standardization and productivity through tool optimization that supports our Data Center portfolio and work habits. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders to leverage industry best practices to develop the tooling solutions to drive operational consistency across the regions. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with proven skills in driving key contract management initiatives with results through engagement with external and internal partners and have a solid business acumen. The candidate will be an analytical person, resourceful, able to drive change, creative and willing to challenge others to be successful. This role will: + Develop and implement a best practice tools roadmap to capture the contract management vision & strategy to aid and improve operational performance + Perform a gap analysis in the current environment and identify tooling opportunities + Analyze data to understand key information needed to track and monitor pre and post award contracting activities, including contractor progress + Lead the development effort to identify a tooling solution based on industry standards and through collaboration with business stakeholders + Conduct user testing to determine the end-user experience and evaluate proposed tooling solutions + Develop a Basis of Requirements that captures the framework of the tooling solution to support implementation + Provide guidance and oversight of new tools developed and implemented Other: Embody our culture (https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/culture) and values (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 9+ years experience (including internships) in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations + OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 7+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations + OR equivalent experience **Other Requirements:** Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: + **Microsoft Cloud Background Check** : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Preferred Qualifications** + Robust knowledge of supply chain, specifically contract management, background on large construction capital projects; large scale engineering, procurement & construction experience is a plus + Knowledge of various contract methods (Design, Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, etc.) + Familiarity with multiple contract pricing formats (lump sum, T&M, unit price, etc.) + Knowledge of the data center industry Sourcing and Category Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
