Global Controller, Acxiom
The Global Controller, Acxiom is a high exposure, hands-on role that has dual reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, Acxiom, and to IPG’s Controller Group. This position will initially have 4 direct reports and manage a team of ~40 staff members. The position will be responsible for the integrity of the financial statements, timely and accurate submission of the monthly results, financial statement variance commentaries, various Network responsibilities, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SEC requirements, and IPG Standard Policies and Procedures. The position will also liaise with our Acxiom International Controller and Regional Finance on SOX controls best practices as well as revenue recognition to ensure consistency on a global basis.

This is a critical role to the company and the desired candidate will possess an ability to consistently work with abstract ideas and complex situations across the organization to help Acxiom achieve its goals.

*This role can be located almost anywhere in the U.S. Central Arkansas, preferred.

What You Will Do:

Review applicable controls and Standard Policies and Procedures to ensure an appropriate control environment is designed and administered with efficiencyProvide direction to managers and team members to ensure success for the organization:Build and manage a team responsible for ensuring controls are in place, appropriate, and performed through testing, as well as remediation where issues may existManage a team handling the Monthly Close process to ensure timely and accurate completion of IPG and Network deliverablesManage team responsible for all revenue recognition practices, including appropriate persuasive evidence, variable consideration estimates, review of revenue calculations, and intercompany transactions within IPGManage a team of A/P and A/R Shared Services to ensure efficient and effective processes are carried outReview and approval of client contracts and revenue recognition methodologyLiaise with International Controller, Regional Finance, IPG Corporate and Regional Controller Teams (RCT) on revenue recognition and SOX controlsIntegrity and accuracy of all local general ledger / sub-ledger accounts and reconciliations as well as mapping into the IPG Chart of AccountsIntegrity of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to the Network and ensuring compliance with US GAAPOversight of the financial statement audit (PWC) including project plan, coordination, deliverables, etc. with expectations for successful completion each periodDrive Process Improvements across all Accounting/Shared Services functionsInteract internally and externally with executive level management across Acxiom, IPG, and other agencies/networks requiring communication of critical matters, an ability to influence policymaking, and participation in broad process design across the organizationConsistent with our operational structure, this position will also be responsible to manage transactional accounting across other markets, such as Canada and Mexico

What You Will Have:

10+ years’ experience with at least 2+ years in a Controller role (public/private mix is preferred)CPA requiredExperience managing staffAbility to communicate effectivelyWorkday knowledge is preferred but not requiredExperience with ASC 606 revenue recognition standard
