Global Data Acquisition Strategy Head

We are looking for a Global Data Acquisition Strategy Head who is influential, emotionally intelligent, and innovative to join us in our Global Integrated Insights and Analytics team. This hybrid role (at least 40% of the time in office), based out of our US Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, requires up to 10% travel domestically and internationally.

 

About the role

You will create a clear vision around our global data acquisition strategy, platforms, tools, and access to enable superior launches of our nearer term pipeline. This head role will also need to execute a commercial data strategy that will enable data-driven actionable insights from advanced analytics that create high impact patient value globally. You will be responsible for developing a long-term data acquisition strategy that enables impact through deeply understanding the availability and efficacy of cutting edge and future pharmaceutical commercial data, and ensuring a clearly aligned and implementable plan which will use resources efficiently while delivering best in class insights.

 

Who you’ll work with

The Global Data Acquisition Strategy Head will build a team of direct and indirect reports and work with the Head of Global Advanced Analytics, Integrated Insights Hub Leads, and Business and Functional Leads/Heads. Externally, you will work with data vendors and consultants.

 

 

What you’ll do

Your contribution will greatly advance the company vision for proactive predictive analytics, opportunities identification and capability development to enable future organizational decisions and successful launches, reducing the necessity for building primary data.

 

Clearly map out the right data assets to help the business identify patients and their providers, assess opportunities, enable experiments, measure ROI, evolve tactical execution and future proof our competitive advantages.Coordinate your team with business and IT partners to operationalize successful analytical experiments into production.High proficiency in creating a clearly articulated vision and gathering stakeholder support for implementation.Data expertise. Provide clear expertise for data selection to leverage advanced analytics, especially where they are advantageous to reducing the need for primary data or have high marginal impact.Leverage cross functional teams to create an exceptional user experience to enable data scientists to perform the most impactful data and analytics projects.Partnership and Collaboration. Ensure tight relationships and collaboration with IT, Data Office, and other Analytics teams using relevant data sources.Drive the execution of projects and processes that enable the best end user experience.

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills

Master/Doctor’s degree in quantitative area is preferred, Bachelor’s is required.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in advising companies on data strategy for pre and post launch applications.Strong experience working with various forms of pharmaceutical data.Minimum of 7 years of experience partnering to create an exceptional user experience for data access, cleansing, tools etc.Thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.Expert knowledge of the United States, European and Japanese data landscapeYou are driven by impact and posses strong creativity in piercing through disparate data sets to solve business questions.Expertise in fully understanding the sourcing, collection and use applications of a range of large, secondary transactional databases.Ability to tailor your communication style to technical and non-technical audiences alike.You can create creative solutions to technical and organizational roadblocks that can immerge.You have an agile mindset and love to test-and-learn.
 

This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $177,200 - $232,575 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
