Global Design Production Senior Manager, Content Projects

What You'll Do

As Global Design Production Senior Manager, Content Projects, you’ll lead the creative production of visuals for BCG content. You will ensure strong visual storytelling that complements and enhances our written content—or can stand on its own—and aligns with BCG’s global brand. Your main remit will be to ensure quality of content visuals, efficiency of the visual production process and operation, and continual innovation in the way we tell a story visually. You will find, manage, and grow our pool of designers and freelancers, offering guidance, inspiration, and feedback to guarantee the highest quality of design input. You will partner closely with the Global Brand & Creative Strategy team on the latest BCG brand and design guidelines and standards. And you will focus on continually evolving BCG’s content design systems, guidelines, and best practices to drive brand consistency, while also offering creative flexibility.

 

Manage Design Operations for Content ProjectsLead team that coordinates project details for all content design production requests.Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and align on content project objectives, needs, and expectations. Provide strategic counsel to enhance a project’s value and impact through creative strategy. Anticipate stakeholder needs, proactively address potential issues, and offer innovative solutions.Oversee team of designers for content projects. Manage design resource budget.Manage, guide, and inspire external designers and freelancers in the execution of content production work. Provide direction and timely feedback to ensure development and delivery of innovative design concepts that meet stakeholder needs, as well as adhere to BCG guidelines and best practices.Onboard new content project design resources, continually manage their growth and development, and bring in new talent as needed.Maintain guidelines and best practices for content project visuals and design, for global projects within our core, and also to provide to teams managing projects outside of our remit (locally created content, etc.)Utilize our project management system (Wrike) to monitor efficiency of the design portion of the content creation process.Manage access to tools that designer/editorial resources use during design process

Continually Improve Process and Efficiency

Continually improve where and when design fits into the content creation process to ensure efficiency.Proactively manage and evolve creative production workflows and processes to ensure alignment with editorial, multimedia, digital, amplification, and stakeholder processes—and continuously look for ways to optimize, to make more efficient and effective.Determine how GenAI could potentially be utilized within our design and imagery processes.Integrate design processes and resources for all content pipelines under both brand leadership and commercial content project umbrellas.Manage rollouts of new processes, enhancements, and changes to visual guidelines.Optimize/integrate central repository for content design guidelines and system to manage/store design files.

Foster Innovation

Partnering with the Global Brand & Creative Strategy team, lead initiatives to improve how our visuals tell a story online—static, dynamic, and interactive imagery.Within content projects, strategize with stakeholders, content creators, and data visualization experts on shaping the direction of the storytelling. Advise how visuals could be utilized to convey our messages in the best, most effective way for the target audience(s).Partnering with content program owners and the Global Brand & Creative Strategy team, drive initiatives to create new visual and design elements, templates, and guidelines—or to enhance and evolve current ones—to remain at the cutting edge of design and visual storytelling trends.

Ensure Quality and Brand Alignment

Lead art direction and creative advisory for global BCG content, including image selection, data visualization for exhibits and infographics, dynamic and interactive design elements, and hard copy PDFs.Lead team that selects on-brand images and photography for content in ways that enhance our brand storytelling. Play key role in the optimization and evolution of BCG’s image library, including the use of GenAI in the process. Drive innovations to imagery philosophy, in partnership with Global Brand & Creative Strategy team.Oversee improvements to content design, such as PDF covers, web images, exhibits, infographics, multimedia program imagery, and video imagery.Oversee the quality and consistency of all creative deliverables. Conduct regular reviews and audits and provide constructive feedback to ensure excellence in all outputs. And when required, lead projects to create new guidelines for quality.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.Deep understanding of current content creative design and production trends, with the ability to adapt creative strategies to fit changing market conditions. Experience in digital and social media visual asset formats a plus.Strong project management experience in coordinating and overseeing end-to-end execution of creative projects.​ Proficiency in project management tools and platforms is essential. Experience with Wrike is a plus.Exceptional time management skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented.Sharp critical thinking skills, with the ability to make well-informed decisions quickly. Comfortable operating in environments with high levels of ambiguity.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to clearly articulate creative concepts and strategies.Strong stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building and maintaining successful relationships.Experience in end-to-end creative production elements and able to successfully activate and project manage creative concepting and production resources (both internal and third-party resources).A growth mindset.Proven ability to collaborate, team, and lead with empathy, compassion, and an open mind.

Who You'll Work With

You will be part of the Content Operations team within the Content Studio. You will work closely with writers, editors, editorial strategists, multimedia producers, digital and amplification teams, practice area marketers, and content authors and experts. You will partner closely with the Global Brand & Creative Strategy team on initiatives.
