Overview

The Global Director of Space and Experience is responsible for managing all real estate investments globally; including development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for all Humanscale showroom spaces. This role is key in ensuring that every showroom consistently delivers a compelling and inspirational experience, reflecting Humanscale’s brand values, product story, and customer-focused approach. The Global Director will also ensure continuous evolution in showrooms by integrating the latest Humanscale products, brand stories, and educational opportunities. Additionally, this role will be responsible for creating and delivering a dynamic showroom calendar of engaging events.


The Global Director of Space and Experience also plays a crucial role in creating valuable destinations that act as key sales tools for the Humanscale team. The purpose of this role is to develop immersive showroom environments that reflect the Humanscale brand and product stories, fostering a positive and engaging experience for clients. These showrooms will serve as major assets for the sales team, with clearly defined metrics and milestones to measure success and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Global Showroom Strategy: Develop and implement a unified strategy for all showroom spaces globally, ensuring that each location delivers consistent brand and product experience aligned with Humanscale’s values.Showroom Standards: Write and deliver a comprehensive global showroom standards guide, outlining space design, choreographed story, product integration, and supportive materials needed to host clients and events seamlessly.Experience Consistency: Work closely with assigned showroom managers or designated champions at each location to ensure that all showrooms provide consistent customer experience, regardless of location.Continuous Evolution: Ensure showrooms are in a constant state of evolution by integrating the newest Humanscale products, brand stories, and educational opportunities, keeping them fresh, relevant, and engaging.Event Innovation: Create and oversee innovative event experiences within the showrooms, such as product events, brand collaborations, speaker series, and more, that celebrate Humanscale’s products, value proposition, and differentiators.Showroom Calendar: Develop and deliver a comprehensive showroom calendar that includes diverse experiences, from engaging product showcases to collaborative events and educational opportunities.Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with sales leadership to develop programs aimed at driving customer engagement and measuring the success of each showroom space. Establish clear metrics and milestones to evaluate showroom performance and ROI.Vendor & Contractor Oversight: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure showrooms are built and maintained to the highest standards, supporting Humanscale’s brand and operational goals.Leadership & Project Management: Lead and manage the global showroom team, including showroom managers, vendors, and contractors. Oversee project execution to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence, fostering a high-performance and collaborative cultureBrand Representation & Strategic Partnerships: Serve as a key advocate for the Humanscale brand by engaging with influential partners, thought leaders, and decision-makers at strategic organizations. Foster partnerships with brands that align with Humanscale’s vision and business goals, enhancing market presence and contributing to long-term growth and brand positioning. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Marketing, or a related field.10+ years of experience managing and developing global showroom spaces, events, or brand experiences.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple locations simultaneously.Strong understanding of brand storytelling, customer experience design, and showroom management.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, external partners, and key brand influencers.Experience developing and managing showroom standards, event programs, and sales-driven initiatives on a global platform.Ability to measure showroom performance and make data-driven decisions to improve customer engagement and overall success.Ability to travel 25%, both domestic and internationalExperience in contract furniture, design, or architectural industries desired.

Salary Range: $101,494 - $148,040
