Finance Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing the company's strategic objectives. Each day, your contributions will positively impact business operations as you collaborate closely with various de-partments. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your expertise through participation in the comprehensive Global Trainee Program.Depending on your specific assignment, your responsibilities may include:•\tOperational Controlling (Factory/Distribution centers)•\tMarketing and Sales Controlling•\tProject ControllingKey tasks may involve:•\tImplementing performance dashboards and driving business reviews.•\tLeading a cost optimization project in a large factory.•\tParticipating in month-end close processes, financial planning/forecasting, and capital invest-ment projects.The program is structured around three distinct assignments:•\tIntroduction to the Business: A nine-month assignment in your home country, providing a deep dive into the business.•\tInternational Experience: A six-month assignment abroad, offering insights into ABB’s opera-tions in a different environment/role, allowing you to work on exciting projects and expand your professional network.•\tDeepening Expertise: A final nine-month assignment back in your home country or home business, where you will further refine your knowledge of the business and your functional area.

Qualifications for the role

\tRecent Master’s Graduate: You have recently completed (or will complete before the program's start) a master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.\tProfessional Experience: Ideally, you have some professional experience in a Finance-related function such as Controlling or Audit.\tCommunication Skills: You are an effective communicator with strong oral and written skills.\tFinancial Expertise: You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.\tTechnical Proficiency: You are proficient in IT, with advanced skills in Excel. Experience with business intelligence tools or programming is a plus.\tWork Authorization: You hold valid work authorization in the U.S.\tTeam and Global Mindset: You thrive in a team environment, have a global perspective, and are eager to learn. You are open to new ideas, persistent, and curious.\tCareer Interest: You are passionate about developing a career in Controlling, particularly within the Manufacturing sector.
