The Global EHS Manager will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining company’s environmental, health and safety programs to ensure continuous compliance with applicable International,  Federal, State and local environmental health and safety regulations, including conducting EHS training, audits at sites globally,  sharing best practices from sister sites and external. Also evaluate each site’s EHS metrics/KPIs and working with site’s to improve such metrics.

 

Responsibilities

 

Working closely with local site EHS Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements and implement regulatory compliance programs with local country statutory and regulatory requirements. Review and periodically audit respective sites’ Environmental Health and Safety permits and compliance with respective permit conditions. Standardize and implement best practices of key EHS processes across all core sites. Work with local site EHS, engineering teams, supply chain and customers to ensure product compliance to EU RoHS, REACH, WEEE and PFAS Directives, as part of Prodcu Compliance support. Work with respective teams to carry out incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions. Analyze incidents trends for sites globally and determine any fundamental underlying root causes. Provide recommendations of corrective actions for such root causes accordingly. Interact with all EHS manager globally to assist with EHS issues and continuously provide guidance to improve EHS KPIs performance for sites. Provide training and audits on sites’ EHS practices and the effectiveness of process implementation including job hazard analysis/risk assessments. Work with site to analyze hazardous materials inventory, profile and manifest waste and recycle programs as part of ESG/sustainability support. Assist in the administration of the sites worker’s compensation program with Human Resources. Work with respective site to perform safety engineering reviews on existing equipment and new equipment/processes, including new product development, to ensure all applicable EHS requirements (permits, secondary containment, safety training, etc) are satisfactorily fulfilled prior to implementation as part of change control. Train managers and employees to ensure that they practice good safety culture and habits through Active Safety Engagement: workplace accident prevention, and personal injury prevention. Primary goal is to enhance global site safety culture. Conduct ISO14001 and ISO45001 training, implementation and audit to the latest revision.  Assist site in the management of Registrar audit Implement structured EHS training programs meeting Federal, State and Local requirements for the nature of the business Support in the development of Crisis Management and Escalation communication policy and procedure and roll out globally Implement Corporate EHS initiatives for the all sites

 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

Bachelor’s  or Master’s Degree in EHS, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar/ related field with at least 5 to 8 years of working experience. Expect to travel about 40% to 50% Must have a professional Safety Officer certification recognized by the residing country Proficiency in Word, Excel and Access. Working knowledge and good hands-on implementation of ISO 14001 and or ISO 45001 is a requirement. Certified auditor in ISO 45001 and or ISO 14001 is a requirement. Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently Ability to manage and meet regulatory agency requirements and deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with people of diverse background is a requirement Working knowledge of environmental legislation including RCRA, DOT 49 CFR, NPDES, respective country permitting requirement,  including respective countries Health and Safety Regulations like OSHA , etc. is required. Working knowledge of EU RoHS, REACH, PFAS and China RoHS is a requirement Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate different country’s timezones as this is a Global position. Must be eligible to work on State Department controlled products (ITAR controlled). Preferred Requirements

 

Experience and or working knowledge of ISO 50001 is preferred ERT and Industrial Hygiene experience preferred. Certification in Hazmat handling, DOT 49CFR, 40 hours Hazwoper and Universal waste is preferred.
