Global Employee Engagement Manager

Role description: The Global Employee Engagement Manager role is responsible for the operational management of the strategically significant global employee engagement and dialogue program at Arcadis called Your Voice. The program aims to provide a safe space where employees can give feedback and engage inclusively. It empowers them to freely share their unique perspective, allowing them to help shape Arcadis’ future culture and business direction. The program is delivered via a quarterly employee engagement survey to 36,000 employees utilizing the Workday Peakon platform.

Role accountabilities:

Program Strategy and Design 
•   Maintain and improve the employee engagement program to ensure it aligns with Arcadis People Strategy, on an annual basis. 
•   Influence program design and structure to meet the needs of diverse employee populations across different regions e.g. by working with stakeholders on questions, reporting etc. 
•   Collaborate with local People team members and key stakeholders to ensure consistency and standardization of the program e.g. consistency in reporting, and action planning.
•   Support continuous improvement initiatives, to enhance the experience for all users in all phases of survey execution (survey design, data upload, survey management, reporting, action planning).


Program Execution and Management
•   Responsible for the smooth operation of an employee engagement survey delivered to 36,000 employees on a quartely basis.
•   Work closely with project manager, ensuring project milestones are documented and completed on time and to a high quality. 
•   Collaborate with Change team member to develop and deliver engaging materials, presentations, and resources to facilitate utilization of the platform.
•   Prepare platform for quarterly survey – ensure questions are translated, correct functionality enabled, data correct
•   Oversee shared service team in the quarterly data upload process (typically 3 weeks before survey launch).
•   Work with business SMEs to facilitate execution of additional insights via the Diversity Representation questions and Well-being questions.


Platform Administration
•   Be the functional expert in administrating Workday Peakon platform by having a sound understanding of the product features and functionality. 
•   Troubleshoot with users, escalating cases via Workday Resource Centre
•   Attend Peakon quarterly account management calls, and have an understanding of new product features and analyse impacts for deployment of these features.

Reporting and Analysis
•   Prepare reporting templates and work with the People Analytics team to produce quarterly employee engagement reports for the business.
•   Analyse engagement data from the platform to provide insights, key themes, and suggestions to inform action within reports.
•   Provide reports upon request on engagement scores, comments analysis, and trends.

Compliance and Risk Management 
•   Ensure compliance with global employment laws and regulations related to engagement and surveys. 
•   Regularly review and update engagement materials and processes to ensure compliance with legal requirements e.g. Privacy Statements. 
•   Conduct audits and reviews of the program to identify and mitigate any potential compliance risks.


Stakeholder Management
•   Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for employee engagement for People Business Partners – communication global results, program updates, best practices, guidance and support during pre-survey and post-survey calls and via ad-hoc requests.
•   Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify global action plans and track progress of actions on engagement priority areas, for reporting and communication purposes.
•   Stay up to date with global onboarding trends, best practices, and legal requirements, sharing knowledge and insights with the team and other stakeholders.

General  
•   Role Model the Arcadis Way principles.
•   Act as a visible steward of health and safety and ensure familiarity and compliance with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.
•   Working hours: This role will require flexibility in working hours to lead and attend meetings with global stakeholders.


Qualifications & Experience:

The candidate should have an academic degree in human resources and demonstrated experience with people systems, projects, and process with exposure to supporting people-based solutions that align to a business strategy across geographical entities. They will ideally have international experience and understand the complexity of supporting employee engagement across borders.
Other required experience and competencies for this role:
•   
•   Knowledge of HRIS systems and People Function policies and procedures, preferably with the Workday Peakon platform.
•   Experience in administrating an HR Technology platform
•   Demonstrable experience with project support.
• High-level communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization including senior executives; able to comfortably speak to business managers and establish a communication cadence.
•   Strong data-gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills
•   Highly organized and efficient with strong attention to detail
•   High degree of initiative and proven ability to work under pressure
•   Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
•   Employee Experience knowledge and experience is preferred but not essential. A keen interest and passion for this area is imperative
