**Job Description**
The Global Engineering Services (GES) Manager oversees a group that consists of various levels of Designers, Technicians and/or Engineers located throughout the world. The person in this position has a wide area of technical expertise in Fluid Conveyance (FC) products and processes. This person is responsible for their own project load while managing others. The GES Manager is responsible for setting work direction, exercising sound Engineering judgment, approval of a variety of documents, certifications and statements of compliance, and maintaining department Scorecard/QOS measures.
**Job Responsibilities**
Engineering Documentation: Utilize sound Engineering judgment to create, apply and document drawings, Engineering standards, operating procedures…etc.
QOS Scorecard & Priorities: Establish Scorecard measures to review progress, evaluate results, initiate change, establish new processes to improve team group efficiency. To review, prioritize, and measure progress on projects that have significant document & drawing requirements.
Engineering Processes: Represent FC Engineering with Creation and Change Control in the development and improvement of the PLM system.
Export Compliance: Act as the Export Control Coordinator for the FC division to limit the business exposure to violations of US Export Control laws (International Trafficking in Arms Regulations - ITAR and Export Administration Regulations – EAR) by utilizing gained Export Control knowledge and training.
Protecting the Business: Limit business exposure to product liability, audit findings, or materials violations by ensuring sound Engineering practices and compliance to applicable laws (e.g. TS 16949, REACH, RoHS …etc.).
Organizational Capability: Maintain close liaison with Danfoss India Innovation Center to help guide the professional development of all applicable subordinates and functional reports. Additionally, evaluate and optimize skills sets for each employee.
Engineering Strategy: Maintain close liaison with Product Engineering during the development and maintenance of products and services to insure smooth introductions, conformance to product specifications, and year over year improvements.
Engineering Rigor: Establish ownership and maintenance of the engineering libraries for standards, projects, documents, etc. that reside in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and the Information Center (InfoCenter) databases.
Product Support: Utilize sound Engineering judgment and extensive product knowledge to execute product support activities (rebranding, product repositioning, …etc.).
Agency Standards Representation: Official representation for FC Engineering at applicable industry organizations (e.g. SAE, NFPA, ISO) and establish FC strategy accordingly. Holding committee chairman positions is highly recommended.
**Background & Skills**
Must have a wide area of technical expertise in Fluid Conveyance (FC) products and processes.
Experience with Fluid Conveyance Engineering with Creation and Change Control in the development and improvement of the PLM system.
Strong understanding of US Export Control laws (International Trafficking in Arms Regulations - ITAR and Export Administration Regulations – EAR.
Previous experience as a Commitee Chairman is preferred.
