Global Forwarding Agent - Ocean Import

C.H. Robinson is seeking Global Forwarding Agents (GFA) to join our new Automotive Competency Center Branch! In this role, you'll manage and operate the shipment lifecycle for complex and strategic accounts, serving as a key customer contact and subject matter expert.

As a Global Forwarding Agent, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the entire shipment lifecycle for your assigned accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring that all customer requirements are met with accuracy and efficiency. Your duties will include executing and supervising tasks for each shipment, maintaining daily communication, generating reports, and managing emails. You will take full ownership of your accounts, driving their success through proactive and dedicated service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Maintain Operational Excellence:

Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo Understand and input applicable financial components of shipments to generate correct billing for customersApply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes/create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externallyExecute/Coordinate tasks on the shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc.Create, maintain, and update shipments in Navisphere, ensuring accurate dataFull understanding of pricing.  Provides quotes based on needs of customer and networkProvides track and trace service to customers and generates shipment documentsEnsure a high-level of data integrity within the shipments: acknowledgement of shipment details, INCOterms, routing, dates, documents, etc.

Facilitate Relationships:

Builds great relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on issue resolutionCommunicate clearly, timely, and effectively with Customers/Agents, CHR offices, and Outside VendorsPromote a positive working relationship for all team membersParticipate, as needed, in new customer implementations and business meetings

Other Activities:

Ensure customer SOPs are maintained and adhered to Work according to CHR, local and global laws, regulations and proceduresOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

High school degree or GED equivalentMinimum of 1 year of Global Forwarding experienceFluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)Strong experience working with automotive accounts
