Role description: 

As a leader, the candidate will lead, motivate, and manage a team of GEOC engineers responsible for operating and supporting the Global Engineering Applications platform. Define project scopes, objectives, and timelines in collaboration with Team members. The candidate will need to provide technical guidance, support, and expertise to the team to ensure the smooth operation of these applications.  The role will oversee engineering applications' day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and availability.  Additionally, the candidate must collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration for engineering applications. The candidate leads and participates in engineering application enhancement, upgrade, or implementation projects. Develop and implement best practices, standards, and processes to streamline development and maintenance workflows. Additionally, the candidate must collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration for engineering applications. The candidate leads and participates in engineering application enhancement, upgrade, or implementation projects. Develop and implement best practices, standards, and processes to streamline development and maintenance workflows. To succeed in this role, the candidate must foster a continuous learning and development culture among the team and keep them updated on the latest technologies and methodologies. Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure users have an exceptional and seamless experience. Leads testing Applications before rollout and upgrade of packages.   Advise, educate, and support the Business on the best ways to leverage technology. Track and forecast portfolio usage across the Globe. Responsible for monitoring the daily jobs, SLA, tracking, and follow-up on aged tickets.  Responsible for Monthly reports and Dashboards and updating the Business.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science or equivalent training and experience in the IT / AEC Industry. Proven experience in a leadership role within an Engineering Application operation team. Must have a solid technical background with expertise in Engineering Applications and related technologies.  Knowledge of database systems, server configurations, and networking protocols associated with engineering software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential. While Project Management experience is a plus, it is necessary that you can work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and the ability to ensure the security of engineering applications and associated data. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a global team environment. Strong ability to remain patient, listen, and empathize with customer questions and software issues. Ability to independently solve problems and accomplish tasks logically, organized, and time-efficiently when given high-level tasks or objectives. Willingness to share and transfer knowledge and train other colleagues. Experience with Ticketing Systems such as Remedyforce and Helix.
