Global Head of People Relations

Job title: Global Head of People Relations 

Location:  London, UK preferably on a Hybrid Basis (Regular travel to offices such as Chiswick or Milton Keynes, UK with flexibility)

 

 

About the role

Role summary:  Lead a high-performing international team in a newly created role at BSI. You will be responsible for strengthening compliance, improving the employee experience, and leading case management across our global organization. This is a full-time, permanent position, reporting to the People Director of People Services. We are flexible on location, offering a hybrid work model.  You must have detailed knowledge of employment law in multiple jurisdictions (including the UK and USA) and experience leading a People Relations function within a fast-paced global environment.   

 

 

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a strategic and operational plan for People Relations across BSI globally.   Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Works Councils, unions, and government agencies.   Oversee all people relations cases, ensuring robust case management and consistent employment-related outcomes.   Develop and deliver training programs on people relations processes and best practices.   Drive a consistent employee experience across BSI, collaborating with Centres of Excellence.   Manage and develop a high-performing, internationally based team.   Identify opportunities to improve people relations practices and drive positive change.   

 

To be successful in the role, you will have:

Detailed understanding of employment law in multiple jurisdictions, including the UK and USA.   Proven track record of leading a People Relations function in a fast-paced global environment.   Experience working in a matrixed, complex organization.   Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.   Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.   

 

Ideally, you will also have:

Experience working with and influencing senior leaders.   Experience in HR operations within an international business.   Fluency in at least one other language besides English.
