Global Head of Product Strategy, Private Market Solutions - Managing Director

MASS constructs active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. BlackRock's Multi-Alternatives (Multi-Alts) team sits at the heart of BlackRock’s Alternative platform, collaborating across investment teams and capabilities. The mission of Multi-Alts is to craft commingled and customized vehicles that take advantage of changing market opportunities by using the full breadth of the firm’s capabilities. **Position Overview:** We are seeking a candidate to lead the global product strategy function for private market solutions with Multi-Alts. Bringing together the firm's private market capabilities and external GPs to build solutions for clients across the private market spectrum. This includes supporting clients with performance goals, deployment, liquidity management, and other features. This critical leadership role strives to create large new revenue streams at the forefront of the Democratization of Private Markets. BlackRock is at the forefront of this trend, evidenced by significant acquisitions across private market franchises and technology. With a broader client base than many pure-play alternatives competitors and a reputation as a fiduciary solutions leader and risk manager, BlackRock is uniquely positioned to lead in this space. **Key Responsibilities:** + Ownership of ambitious revenue targets and the strategy/execution to achieve them, including new regions, client types, and pooled vehicles. + Direct oversight and engagement with the largest and most complex client relationships. + Leadership of key senior channel relationships and alignment to create and implement joint client engagement. + Leadership of a growing team, developing client-facing investment talent. + Advocacy for resources and firm-wide focus on this business linked to revenue growth, in collaboration with the Head of Multi-Alternatives within MASS. + Fostering strong relationships with downstream alts teams at BlackRock, ensuring tight commercial alignment with product strategy leads. + This role includes membership in MASS and Multi-Alternatives leadership forums. + This individual will report directly to the Head of Multi-Alternatives, MASS. **Skills and Experience:** + At least 15 years of working experience in a product strategy, fundraising and investor relations role. + Strong investment experience in Private Markets, with the ability to engage credibly with client-side alts specialists and maintain multi-year relationships with senior client-side stakeholders in alternatives. + Proven experience in driving commercial outcomes with clients, preferably generating material new revenue through the mobilization of sales teams. + Demonstrated excellence in the Strategist function, including superb commercial execution, client service outcomes, and talent development. + Deep experience and understanding of global Investment markets for Private Markets, preferably Wealth, FOFE, and Defined Benefit client segments. US experience valued. + Strategic acumen linked to implementation/execution, with a proven ability to drive revenue from new markets/business lines. + Solutions sales mentality/experience in addition to investor relations and product execution. + Ability to navigate the firm and drive corporate outcomes, such as product development and securing seed/capital. + Outstanding people leadership and culture-building skills, encouraging a high-energy, high-achievement culture balanced with respect and warmth. + Structuring experience is useful but not essential. For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$270,000.00 - USD$350,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
