Global Import/Export Compliance and Logistics Coordinator
OVERVIEW:
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Global Import/Export Compliance and Logistics Coordinator to join the Global Supply Chain team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Global Import Export Compliance and Logistics.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in assisting with organizing and optimizing our logistics and customs compliance operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from factories to our EU, US, and APAC distribution centers. Additionally, this role will be responsible for assisting the development, product, and production teams with time sensitive tasks, as well as assisting the distribution, retail, and sales teams with shipping and customer inquiries. This role is ideal for someone with strong multitasking abilities, a passion for logistics and customs compliance, and a drive to contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Determine EU, US, and CA Harmonized Tariff Schedule Classifications for products and create master compliance master seasonally.Provide duty rates to production and finance teams seasonally as well as assist in duty related inquiries and tariff engineering.  Assist in customs brokerage management and shipment clearance inquiries while keeping standard operating procedures up to date.Identify free trade agreement opportunities for customer orders and create necessary documentation/certifications.  Conduct customs entry audits ensuring accurate data has been submitted and duty/taxes paid are accurate and managing entry recordkeeping.  Assist in planning and coordinating logistics and customs clearance for special projects, photoshoots, fashion shows, promotional events, and high-volume periods.Assist Senior Global Logistics Coordinator with monitoring all inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.Aid in any issues related to transportation delays, damaged goods, or delivery discrepancies, working with relevant stakeholders to provide timely solutions.Input and manage all international trade data in our ERP system and auditing data accuracy.  Manage duty drawback programs for United States and Canada. Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the supply chain.Maintain clear and accurate records of all logistics activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Stay up to date on transportation trends and customs regulations to continuously improve processes and recommend cost-saving initiatives.Support all supply chain teams including planning and distribution as required, managing tasks and workflow efficiently.QUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years’ experience Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business/Trade, or a related discipline.Experience in harmonized schedule classifications, origin determination, and other customs compliance competencies specifically dealing with garments and fashion accessories.  Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.  Understanding of regulatory compliance in logistics, including international shipping requirements.Excellent communication to work with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.Attention to detail and the ability to track orders, and shipments accurately.Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving logistics issues, time critical shipment management skills and resilience for handling unexpected shipment emergencies.Previous experience in logistics, customs compliance, and supply chain management, or a related field.
SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER: 
The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 - $65,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
