Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy trainee to join our Information Systems team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP), managing product data and life-cycle management, and exploring the integration of data and artificial intelligence (AI) in business processes.Global Early Talent Program is a ABB flagship program to develop young talent to potential future leaders. Duration: 24 Months (first 9 months in the home country (Finland), then 6 months international rotation and then 9 months either back in home country or agreed Process Automation location.) Program starts in April 2025 in Helsinki, Finland.As a Global Information Systems Trainee, you will report to Division IS Manager.The work model for the role is hybrid, LI#hybridYou will be mainly accountable for:• Assisting in the maintenance and optimization of ERP systems to streamline business operations.• Supporting the product data and life-cycle management, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across Business Lines.• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze data trends, developing insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes.• Exploring the application of AI tools to enhance data management, automating routine tasks, and improving system efficiency.• Participating in system updates, data migrations, and user training to ensure smooth implementation of new technologies.• Troubleshooting issues related to ERP and product information systems, providing technical support when needed.• Documenting processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.• Participating in required formal training programs (e.g., Leadership Challenge Program, specific functional training) to develop personal, functional, and leadership skills.

Qualifications for the role

Have established skills in project management methodologies. You are resilient with entrepreneurial attitude. Graduating Master’s student (Spring 2025) or recent Master’s graduate in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus. Strong interest in data management, AI, and emerging technologies. Good analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with different stakeholders. Proficiency in English language.
