Global IT Endpoint Engineer Senior Specialist

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As Platform Engineer in the Personal Productivity tribe, you will be part of an Agile team focused on identifying key computer peripherals (for Windows & Mac) to improve the experience, efficiency, and effectiveness for BCGers worldwide. Define and continuously refine a set of standard laptop peripherals based on user requirements, testing and feedback, and compatibility with existing standards, such as laptop models and Operating System versions/configurations. Ensure that the firmware and software used to control standard peripherals are adequate for use, compatible with existing hardware and software standards, meet security requirements, and can be configured to optimize user experience. Help write knowledge base articles and user guides that make it easier for BCGers to choose, set up, use, and troubleshoot their hardware, as needed.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Solid understanding of computer hardware, specifically peripherals (for Windows/Mac) such as monitors, webcams, speakerphones, and headsets. Understanding of how firmware, drivers, and other related software should be utilized and configured to ensure compatibility and meet security needs. Ability to rationalize user requirements, identify which products best meet those requirements, and articulate trade-offs between various options. Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities; you always pay close attention to detail and focus on high quality results. Ability to articulate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Stakeholder management: interfacing with internal staff at all levels in numerous locations throughout the world; driving vendors to engage, and proactively connecting with colleagues as needed.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
CompTIA A+ certified Prior experience in a global enterprise IT Engineering role. Working knowledge or familiarly with enterprise grade computer hardware, including laptops (Windows and/or Mac) and peripherals. Familiarity or experience working in an Agile organization, a plus.

You will work with team members in Asia, Europe, and the United States supporting a global user community. Flexible work hours will be required.
