What You'll Do

As a Global IT Platform Engineer Director & Chapter Lead for the Marketing Function, you will be one of the core technical leaders for marketing technology to shape how we effectively engage and acquire audiences. Your role is to drive best practices, ensure platform health, and enable product squads by providing deep expertise in CRM, automation, and audience segmentation technologies.

 

You are a technical thought partner for product squads—helping them execute effectively by guiding the \"how\" behind engineering decisions—while ensuring that platform strategy aligns with BCG’s broader marketing technology vision.

 

While this role does not own the entire platform (as multiple Chapter Leads exist across domains), you lead technical excellence within your area, working alongside peers and reporting into the Technical Area Lead (TAL) to shape platform strategy and execution standards.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Provide deep technical expertise in CRM (Microsoft Mircrosoft Dynamics 365 preferred), marketing automation (Marketo, etc), and audience activation workflows to support squads in execution.Ensure platform health and scalability, driving technical best practices, governance, and performance optimizations within your domain.Support the adoption and governance of automation tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps, ensuring they are effectively leveraged in marketing workflows where appropriateBe the go-to technical advisor for squads, ensuring they deliver scalable, efficient, and high-quality solutions.Collaborate across engineering and data teams to enable seamless integrations between Power Platform (Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse), Marketo and Snowflake.Influence platform strategy by working with the TAL, other Chapter Leads and the CG PowerPlatform CoE , ensuring that technical decisions align with business goals.Support technical career growth within the team, mentoring engineers and sharing best practices.Advocate for engineering excellence, helping to evolve our platform and integration patterns while balancing immediate squad needs

What You'll Bring

10–12 years of experience in platform engineering, CRM, and marketing technology. Expertise in CRM systems (Microsoft Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred), marketing automation (Marketo, Adobe Campaign, or similar tools), and API-driven architectures and automation tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.).Strong experience in cloud solutions (Azure or AWS), data integrations, and engineering best practices.A track record of technical leadership in a complex, matrixed organization.Deep understanding of data synchronization, audience segmentation, and marketing activation workflows.Strong coaching and advisory skills, enabling product squads through technical best practices rather than direct execution.Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD, ensuring scalable and efficient platform operations.BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Product Portfolio Squads, acting as a technical advisor to improve execution.Other Chapter Leads, ensuring alignment and consistency across domains.Security, Compliance and architecture teams, maintaining best practices in governance and privacy.
