Global IT Platform Engineer Senior Specialist

As we advance our digital transformation initiatives, we are looking for a Platform Engineer to lead multiple strategic projects. This role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to oversee the development, configuration, and maintenance of our digital products, ensuring alignment with market trends and business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the rollout of the Smart Booking platforms/offering to BCG offices worldwide, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption. Maintain and manage upgrades and enhancements to the Smart Booking platforms, ensuring their capabilities are fully leveraged within our spaces. Evaluate Smart Office related digital products to ensure they align with market trends and business requirements. Facilitate stakeholder discovery for feature definition, serving as a liaison between the IT squad and stakeholders. Ensure epics and user stories are prioritized, updated, and available for execution. Write user stories and conduct refinement sessions to ensure they meet team standards and acceptance criteria. Support business stakeholders in eliciting business and non-functional requirements, perform gap analysis and feasibility checks, and collaborate on comprehensive test plans. Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and answer questions. Utilize tools (e.g., SaaS products, SQL, Snowflake, Alteryx, Tableau) to maintain system configurations, access data, develop logic, and analyze datasets to meet stakeholder needs. Leverage automation tools like Python, MS Forms, Workflows in Alteryx, and PowerShell to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to improve system operations.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Proactively monitoring and resolving issues, effectively communicating with key stakeholders and management. Identifying and solving non-routine problems independently, applying broad knowledge to troubleshoot system issues. Translating business needs into clear, actionable Agile user stories. Gaining a deep understanding of digital products to serve as a subject matter expert. Staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the smart booking space to ensure our product portfolio aligns with market demands. Understanding IT architecture and effectively extracting and analyzing data across business systems. Organizing and presenting data to enable quick, informed decision-making. Prioritizing tasks and working independently, while communicating clearly across all levels of the organization. Managing multiple complex tasks with high-quality results within deadlines. Applying Agile methodologies and principles, including work estimation techniques. Quickly learning and adapting to new tools and technologies. Collaborating with multicultural, distributed teams across time zones and managing multiple projects concurrently.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, ServiceNow, Jira, and Trello. Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a global team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and engage with stakeholders at all levels. Customer service orientation with a diverse group of stakeholders. Ability to balance customer needs with functional goals and objectives. Proficiency in cross-team collaboration to resolve challenges. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities based on customer needs. Experience coordinating and implementing digital solutions in a complex organizational environment. Hands-on experience with SaaS applications, including system configuration and integration. Experience working with cloud-based software and APIs. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role supporting digital products, preferably in an analyst or engineering role.
YOU'LL WORK WITH
Directly interact with the Director & Chapter Lead and peers within the Product Portfolio. Collaborate with every member of your squad, including Product Owners, Scrum Leads, Software Engineers, and QA Engineers, as well as internal customers and technical members from other Product Portfolios.
