Global IT Software Engineer Senior Specialist

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Global IT Software Engineer in BCG’s HR Systems team, you will have overall technical responsibility for design, development and technical support of global HR IT integrations. You will work with a team of internal and external developers, as well as a cross-functional team consisting of Project Managers, Business Analysts, and others to provide high quality integrations which respond to and meet the business needs of the entire BCG organization. You will be expected to provide technical guidance, oversight and coordination of development resources to successfully execute project and support tasks.

Technical and functional expertise Strong software design and architecture knowledge, able to identify optimal designs for security, scalability, maintainability and performance Understanding of IT Service management and technical continuous improvement Creative technical problem solving, able to determine technical root cause analysis and produce creative solutions Ability to provide thorough technical and architecture documentation Ability to influence and assist in business requirements gathering to translate into technical work items Communication, interpersonal and teaming skills Excellent communication skills across cultures in English Reliability, flexibility and being a cooperative team player that strives to do the right thing Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations or when ambiguity is present Display tact and patience when mentoring other team members and external partners. YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Education College degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in application development, or equivalent mix of education and experience Experience/Knowledge 3+ plus years of hands-on development experience on Mule ESB / AnyPoint Studio with Java J2EE development. Experience with REST API, SOAP web services and use of connectors for integration. Experience with OpenAPI Specifications to create API Contract for development. Experience on developing mule flows in Anypoint studio and deploying to Cloudhub (MuleSoft). Development of integrations and APIs using enterprise integration patterns and frameworks. Understand and implement Dataweave scripts. Experience using JSON, XML, XSLT, JMS, REST and SQL Solid understanding of integration design patterns, SOA/EAI best practices. Create/Manage basic CI/CD Pipelines (Maven Plugins, GitActions and Octopus) Node.js, GraphQL, Javascript & Typescript (Desirable) Understanding of SCM tools and practices, experience with Team Foundation Server or GIT desired
