Job Scope: 
The Global Manufacturing Engineer will support new products from ideation through production launch and the automation of processes for existing products. The responsibilities of this position will include providing guidance for design-for-manufacturability (DFM), designing and implementing robust manufacturing processes, managing production equipment builds, and supporting production initiatives on a global scale. 


Responsibilities:
1)    Support new and existing product initiatives by being an effective manufacturing representative on core teams working with product engineering, operations, quality, accounting, facilities engineering, and supply chain.
2)    Create and develop lean, robust, and innovative manufacturing processes for new products to include the design, testing, and implementation of custom tooling and fixturing. 
3)    Design-for-automation to allow for post-launch cost reductions when product sales support an investment in automation.
4)    Specify, source, and manage automation projects from concept phase through steady-state production at the facility level.
5)    Develop and maintain process standards to include standard work instructions, PFMEA’s, process flow maps, control plans, and preventative maintenance schedules.
6)    Assist with cost reduction initiatives through product design, process optimization, sourcing, and global process implementation with a focus on automaton projects.
7)    Research and determine feasibility of new technologies to be used in production processes.
8)    Facilitate transfer of best practice knowledge.
9)    Support and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental systems. 

Qualifications:
1)    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree – Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering are desired, but strong work experience can also satisfy this qualification.
2)    3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but all experience levels will be considered. 
3)    3D CAD software experience – SolidWorks preferred.
4)    Must possess good communication skills, be capable of working effectively with others, and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
5)    General mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
6)    Ability to travel globally to support projects at outlying facilities as needed (5-25%).
7)    Knowledge of equipment/process analysis, design, and troubleshooting desired.
