As Global Market Insights Manager, Divisional - Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS) you will be joining a team of passionate, analytic and data-driven people who partner with stakeholders at a local, regional and global level to support data-driven decision-making. In your role as Global Market Insights Manager for the Division, you will play a key role in providing market data and insights to colleagues from Divisional functions (e.g. Finance, Partnering, Strategy & Transformation. Communications).  Based on your work, you will provide data-driven guidance to Divisional functions to assist them in making decisions. You will work closely with your peers to provide a unified and holistic view of the overall Diagnostics space

The Opportunity:

You deliver robust market and revenue model projections through extensive data analysis and collaboration on a global level

You continuously improve team deliverables, including market book, quarterly and monthly reports, as well as competitive profile

You create a careful analysis of available data and determination of knowledge gaps; become subject matter expert on diverse databases and use

You translate data into trends with strategic importance and business impact

You interpret and contextualize analytical findings within the framework of existing body of research and data

You lead and contribute to competitive monitoring initiatives, derive and distill insights on both traditional and emerging competitors around the world, and communicate these insights in a clear, structured, and timely manner

You provide timely competitive insights reporting and alerts to advance competitive readiness

You conduct ad hoc analysis of key competitive moves to contextualize them and provide a deeper level of understanding to the organization

You build relationships with affiliates and establish communication channels to exchange competitive news and information

You attend trade shows or conferences and provide synthesized reports on the event and competitive actions

You partner with business stakeholders to understand the information they need to make decisions and the options they have to obtain the data

You manage vendors and internal teams during project duration to ensure alignment on findings and project delivery

You collaborate with Lifecycle teams, develop, refine, and communicate insights by analyzing data from multiple sources, including primary and secondary research, competitive intelligence, and financial performance

You contribute to initiatives such as overall market assessments, “fact base” and other resources to catalyze strategic discussion

Who You Are

Demonstrated strategic commercial acumen and ability to analyze complex business topics and issues

Undergraduate degree required;  master’s degree, MBA or Ph.D. in business or the life sciences preferred

Previous experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical or medical device industries preferred; diagnostics experience strongly preferred.  Consulting experience welcome

Ability to successfully lead projects and collaborate in cross-functional teams without direct reporting lines

Ability to work well in an Agile environment and work across customer and functional areas

Demonstrated ability to manage projects and act as a business partner to provide customer, market and competitive insights

Excellent communication and presentation skills required; fluency in written and spoken English required

Analytical acumen and financial modeling skills (e.g. ability to understand SEC filings and analyst reports; break down complicated market models; triangulate market sizing information from diverse data sources; build forecasts from clearly articulated assumptions)
