As a Global Material Analyst specializing in a specific material category within the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of materials required for production while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing supply chain risks. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute material planning strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage the end-to-end supply chain process for your designated material category.

What You Will Do

Develop and implement material planning strategies for the assigned material category, considering demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets.Identify potential risks related to the assigned material category, such as shortages or disruptions, and develop mitigation strategies.Global role covering all regions of the Harman Automotive Organization for the designated material category.Apply expert knowledge of automotive supply chains and material planning to ensure material availability and thus satisfaction of demand.Utilize data analytics tools to analyze material consumption patterns, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights to optimize material planning.Continuously evaluate and enhance material planning processes for the designated category, leveraging industry best practices and data-driven insights.Collaborate with various internal teams within the SIOP organization, including demand planning, supply planning, and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of material planning efforts.Embody the HARMAN competencies of Leadership, Collaboration, Judgement and Results Driven and actively participate in executing the SIOP strategy to ensure end to end Resilience of the supply chain.

What You Need

Applicant Shall have 6+ years of experience in the field of Supply chain & operations planning

Bachelor/Master’s in supply chain related fields and Certifications from accredited bodies such as ASCM preferred.

Expert knowledge of automotive industry including supply chain dynamics with at least 4 years of experience within automotive tier 1 suppliersProven experience in material planning, supply chain planning, or related roles, preferably within the specific material category.Solid understanding of material planning principles, inventory management, and supply chain best practices.Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize material planning.
