Join an experienced and collaborative team of dedicated Global Medical Affairs Leaders in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs (CDMA) at Roche Diagnostics. Work with the Personalized Healthcare Solutions lifecycle team on the development and commercialization of companion diagnostics, oncology assays and digital pathology solutions. The Opportunity:  

You will provide medical and scientific expertise in oncology diagnostics and leadership in developing strategic global medical plans, addressing questions and executing medical activities and engagements including integrated evidence generation, research collaborations, advisory boards, independent or sponsored medical education, testing access and medical launch readiness programs.

You will build strong partnerships with medical and patient communities including global thought leaders, investigators, academic networks and professional societies, as well as pharma partners to enable collaborations and safe adoption of medical value solutions while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with industry regulations and HCP interaction guidelines.

You will develop medical content for timely and effective communication of science and clinical data within and outside the organization in training or educational programs, publications and congress presentations.

You will champion a patient and customer-centricity in mindset, behaviors and actions by always putting the needs of the patients and customers first. 

You will partner across functions, regions, cultures, and time zones to create an environment of belonging and identify mutual value and opportunities for collaborations.

You will work independently and autonomously, acting as a coach for colleagues with less experience.

Who You Are:
(Required)

You have expertise and an advanced degree in Medical Sciences (MD and/or PhD) in Pathology, Oncology or related disciplines; you have 8+ years of relevant industry experience in medical affairs and/or development with expertise in designing, implementing or supporting oncology clinical studies and medical education programs. 

You have the demonstrated leadership and ability to translate complex scientific concepts, communicate and simplify intricate medical information for diverse healthcare stakeholders including HCPs, policymakers and payers.

You have a demonstrated track record leading in a global and cross-cultural matrix, strategic decision making, systems thinking, and adaptability to perform in a complex and rapidly evolving environment. 

You have a significant level of understanding of legal and regulatory considerations impacting the healthcare, biopharma and diagnostics industry.

You have excellent English oral and written communication skills, and are willing to travel up to 20% nationally or internationally.   

Preferred:

You have significant experience in a leadership role, the ability to be proactive, self-directed and to work independently.

You have excellent organizational skills, including the ability to efficiently evaluate, prioritize and handle multiple changing projects and priorities.

You have strong communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization; ability to read, write, and analyze complex documents. 

You have a high level of familiarity with relevant regulatory evidence generation and guidance documents.

You have strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic, constantly changing environment; you have the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries, customer inquiries or complaints as well as communicate effectively both orally and in writing with management, peers and individuals.

This position is onsite in Tucson, AZ.

US Relocation benefits will be provided for this position.

Based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ, the expected salary range for this position is $115,0,000 - $260,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
