The position
The Global Medical Manager will be part of a team of 5 Medical-scientific colleagues with clinical, research, and pharmaceutical industry experiences. You will help drive scientific area development including investigator related activities, often in close collaboration with other functions.
Reporting to the Global Medical Director for Global Medical Affairs Alzheimer’s Diseases, the Global Medical Manager will represent Global Medical Affairs in global decision boards working closely with cross functional stakeholders in Marketing, Patient Access, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Research and Translational Medicine in the Global HQ Office as well as the Novo Nordisk regions and affiliates.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

 Give input to the Global Medical Affairs strategy including molecule, physician groups and disease specific strategies as well as the publication strategy, building on new scientific insight and product development, in alignment with the Global Project Teams.  Ensure scientific alignment and facilitate that scientific knowledge is appropriately communicated and understood internally and externally from global to local across the world. External liaison between Novo Nordisk and the scientific community, physicians, and physician organizations, and will help overseeing scientific dialogue and communication at international scientific meetings and conferences. The position calls for an experienced medical affairs person who can autonomously work as the strategic partner within interdisciplinary project teams and provide input to clinical development plans from a clinical, scientific and communication perspective. 


 While candidates from abroad are invited to apply, please note that this position is located in Denmark, and work from the Copenhagen office is mandatory. Some worldwide travel (20-30 days per year) is required.

 

Qualifications
We are looking for individual with a strong scientific background and neurology experience. We require the candidate to have a minimum of Master's degree in the relevant field, however Medical Doctor degree and/or PhD is considered advantageous.
 
For this role, we are looking to connect with candidates who have:

•    Extensive clinical and/or Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Development experience
•    Outstanding communication and presentation skills enabling you to convey complex scientific information clearly and concisely
•    Project management experience
•    Therapeutic expertise/previous pharma track record in the field of neurodegenerative diseases
•    Fluency in English, both spoken and written

The Global Medical Affairs, Alzheimer’s Diseases is a director area in Global Medical Affairs responsible for building and delivering consistent scientific communication across all phases of drug development within the therapeutic areas of Alzheimer’s diseases. The director area consists of 5 high-performance individuals who are focused on innovative ways of working, has a strong sense of commitment and an open atmosphere. Our development pipeline within Alzheimer’s disease is diverse and a growing area.
