Global Mobility Expatriate Payroll Consultant (maternity cover)

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
 

The Global Mobility Expatriate Payroll team manages tax-related HR administration for employees traveling internationally. The primary role is to ensure proper taxation compliance in over 60 countries. The consultant coordinates tax-administration processes, including Compensation Administration, Shadow Payroll, and Tax Payments. They work closely with the HR Payroll Team, external service providers, and local SAP colleagues. Acting as the main point of contact for expatriate tax and payroll processes, the consultant advises on standard issues, handles first-level escalations, and participates in both long-term and ad-hoc projects.


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
 

Responsible for the execution of tax and tax equalization payments/refunds in a timely manner for selected countries. Collaboration with providers and vendor managers. Data collection for tax returns. Support data exchange between local payrolls and external vendors and ensure completion of services in the area of Hypo Tax Withholding, Shadow Payroll Processing, and Taxation of Mobility Benefits. Central reporting and tracking case status for tax return and tax equalization results. Update all documents necessary for the above processes based on required changes. Conduct quality controls in areas of responsibility, follow-up with stakeholders and address gaps and issues that need resolution at a higher level.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
 

Ability to work independently and within a team in a global environment. Time management competencies (respects deadlines). Attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining confidential data. Strong communication, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to grasp complexity and end-to-end processes. Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Fluent in English; other language skills are an advantage.


WORK EXPERIENCE
 

• 3-5 years in HR or Finance.

• Preferred: experience in a customer-focused environment/ working in a Shared Service Centre.
